It’s all been a bit too gloomy on the board in recent weeks. So, given the call by many posters for the MFC Board to be replaced, who would you like to see on the (hypothetical) Demonland ticket?

Personally, I’d be happy with Whispering Jack, rpfc, Daisycutter, Nasher, Redleg and Jaded. Each offers wisdom, humour and passion without the need for vitriol. I’m tempted to add Bitter But Optimistic although perhaps I just want to quell the stereotypical image most people have of Melbourne supporters.

I can’t find a spot for Why You Little or Ben-Hur although I don’t doubt their passion. I just feel they might struggle with the need for a unified voice. And Rhino Richards might aggravate the supporters a bit too much with his, er, biting commentary.

Who would you choose? (And lets keep it friendly, OK?)

Rangey has to be on the ticket as club communicator.

Look at all the polls we can engage in.

nooooo not redleg, refusing to drink whisky cognac and brandy automatically precludes them from the old boys club

saty would be the logical person to keep the meetings going ooooonnnnnnn into the wee hours of the morning

bbo would certainly lift the tone of the room for me and could also work the footbridge selling raffle tickets pregame, who would refuse

maybe one other could be a mn fan so the meetings had a touch of eveness i was thinking GNF

not sure about the biff , liqueur cabinet would need to be locked

thanks for starting a fun post and smile. were all dees

Biffen.

There is no other choice.

Thanks for your support Choke-

I'm not sure if the time for my ideas has arrived .

First thing I would do is allow women to vote.

Then I would lift the White Australia policy,

Eddie will hate it .

And. Furthermore. How can you have any sort of reasoned discussion without vitriol? Dland would lose half its members.

Extremist.

Keep your regional conservatism to yourself ,

us city slickers are ripe for revolution.

I'll ban fox-hunting and then you'll only have football and corporal punishment to keep you occupied.

I am currently working on the Australian Banana Board to sponsor us. We could also make millions, selling banana smoothies at games, instead of beer.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
