And another bit, just waiting for a meeting to start....how exciting........they had a burst of practicing taking quick kick outs after a behind, both attacking and defending.....so assume they are trying to make the bomb towards the wing the last resort

Also the drill for the other half of the squad whilst the above was happening was tap outs and getting the ball and a buffeting and it wasn't just the midfielders so assume it was grabbing the ball in general play as well.......there seems to be a lot of emphasis on body to body

Just a note on Jones, Tapscott and Byrnes, made point of watching them, they moved to the old oval, they were doing repeat sprints, agility work, one drill involved one of them running from one point to another and marking a kick from the other two .......none of the three seemed to be restricted at all.....so not even sure why they were separate

From the photos on the MFC website Tapscott looks more refined and less if a man-child.

His change in shape is quite noticeable, I think he could be a bolter this season.

With an increase in stamina/endurance, and, a clean bill of health, watch out.

I salivate at the prospect of Tapscott, Viney and Wines (touch wood....literally) either coming off the square or starting in the guts.

DD, can you please tell me what they are saying? I feel like a person who sells love for money when I look at other teams forums.

The gist of the Gys:

"the Dees got him for pick 11 courtesy of Brock to carlton. Great deal and now we got him for pick xx ...what a steal....once he fills out he'll match arm size with that of Daw...I can't wait...couple of pre-seasons is all it will take...grimaces as if he's putting in every time...like Judd-like and all that jazz...."

The tan is a running track around the Botanical Gardens. Running track for public and whoever else chooses to use it.

Very popular running spot.

Has quite an incline on one side. Not sure how long McQueen But it is used by The Dees, Pies, and Richmond on a regular basis.

Hope that helps.

Arms the size of Daw's? Laughable

Grimacing because he's so unfit it's an effort for him to

I run the Tan quite regularly (when not injured as I am currently).

The tan is 3.8kms and has a steep incline of about 800m up Andersons St, it also has a lot of little inclines and declines around the track that really test the muscles. The only enjoyable part about it is that there's a slight decent for about 800m of the last 1km which means you can really get up a good speed to sprint across the line.

There is something to enjoy about running around the Tan?

Apart from the usual array of fit ladies?

Of course there are also those.

On another note, for those wondering how Gysberts is looking you'll be very unsurprised.

Nth have got photo's of their training on their club site. Bottom one on the page is Gysberts looking very familiar:

Were they drunk or was it that muppet on BF 'daw of preejectulation' or whatever his name is. I go on there every so often to see whats occurring, it takes me two minutes before I have had a gutful of the place.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
