So we have now secured the services of Jack Viney who looks like he will slot into the starting side next year. He may take a year or two to become a real gun but I think we all know that its inevitable based on his talent.

We also have another star in the making in Jack Watts. He has taken sometime to blossom but again it looks inevitable that he will become a star for the demons. My reason for this post is to suggest a name that will stick for our star duo over the next decade, Ive come up with "The Jack Attack" thoughts?!

Call me pessimistic, but I am no longer convinced Jack Watts will be any more than a decent league footballer. And I will wait and see with Viney. Very happy to have selected him, especially in the second round, but there is a long way to go from being a good young footballer to a star. Let's just let him develop and not put too much pressure on him.

What about Grimes, Trengove, and Fitzy? We have 5 Jacks now!

How about this for a play: "Jack out of the box, Jack's a ripper, looks ahead but he's got Jack, Jack's it up in the air, oh no he looks spent he's cactus Jack, looks for a Jack attack but Jack and Jill are up the hill so he Jacks it towards goal while ignoring Jack, Johnson, and heeeeeee misses.... Oh dear, that was hungry Jack..."

They will all be known as those blokes who kick it to Mitch

To save the trouble of needing to remember players' names, I've been calling them all Jack for two seasons.

That will now continue on, hopefully, for the next decade.

I did like whoever came up with the suggestions of "Grapes" if we get Viney and Wines.

Thought id state the obviouse but jack watts is as soft as butter as they come.

Yep, and if we get the likes of Dawes, Hogan and Pederson, i'd be more than willing to trade him for the right price (top 10-12 pick).

I like the fact that the addition of Jack and Jesse will mean a list comprising of Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jake, Jamie, James, James, James, Jared, Jeremy, Jesse, Joel, Jordan, Jordie, Josh, Jamar, Jetta, and Jonesy....give or take a couple.

I guess we had to have one, even on this joyous day!

I think some here would whinge after a GF win because someone, inevitably to be referred to as a spud or a dud, made a turnover or missed a shot at goal, rather than celebrate it all.

Surely it's inevitable they'll do an ad for Hungry Jacks at some stage?

The Eagles wouldn't like that.

I think we now have a "full house"

Jack Grimes (Spades)

Jack Watts (Hearts)

Jack Trengove (Diamonds)

Jack Fitzpatrick (Joker?)

Jack Viney (Clubs)

HOW DARE ANY OF YOU DIS JACK WATTS ON THIS THREAD..

Jack Watts was probably our best player in the middle of the year and basically won te game for us against Essendon, by being in the right place at the right time.

Watts not only has a pristine kick, also makes near perfect decisions.

He may have a little to go in the courage.. but hell get there, with some confidence..

Jack is a brendon goddard in the making and yes it took Goddard time.

So why dont all of you lay the hell off and watch him dominate 2013

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
