Buy in from Dunn and Jetta

I'm a fan of Jetta's. Not really sure why yet. just think he's shown glimpses of being able to play a role for the team. Let's hope for 2 years of injury free football so he can prove me right or wrong

Agree on Jetta. He is a hard little unit. Reminds me of a smaller Wrecka Whelan (don't know if he actually is smaller but he seems it).

Been unlucky with injury and no doubt low on confidence as a result. If he could get his body right and get super fit he'd be more than handy in my opinoun. Runs in straight lines & tackles hard. Disposal looks shaky but that might improve/be mitigated with a clear role in the team.

BTW - he should be tried in the back pocket minding the small forwards.

Was really happy out on my lunchtime run to see Dunn and Jetta putting in the hard yards at the tan. Good to see they are doing their bit in the off season (regardless of how you view them as MFC players).

This is what we ask for, good on the boys. I think if we were going to keep one of Petterd, Bate and Dunn, Dunn showed he wanted it the most or that he can be useful in the back end of the year. Thanks for the update.

Jetta's front-on tackle on Sandilands a couple of years ago remains etched in my memory.

Also, I noted a couple of times this year he got his name into the mfc.com match write-ups for his hardness at the ball. I reckon he'd be the kind of bloke Neeld would love.

I actually rate Dunn and would be shocked and angry if he did not get a new contract.

Why would you be shocked? I thought you knew for a fact that 15 players don't like Neeld so why would it come at a surprise if Dunn does not resign?

Well, be prepared to be shocked and angry.

Moreso...

He would be on my 'if FA is a bust and the better teams don't delist something decent will sign him up' list.

Got to think of a shorter title...

Jetta goes at it , does n't get it, then has to tackle, that's why he is a good tackler. I am still in doubt over his position (not a small fwd pocket or mid, probably last roll of the dice at back pocket !!)

Dunn goes at it, more often than not, he gets it, and then kicks it 50+ metres. Has found a role in the back 6. One of our better players in the 2nd half of the year.

I don't know as a fact, I am told by a player manger that 15 want out.

Dunn is one that is on the record as being "desperate" for a new contract. Neeld credited his performance in the last half of the season in the round 22 media conference and as such I would be shocked if he was to go. There are at least 10 players I would delist infront of him, not including those who ask for a trade or take feee agency. As such I feel he is safe.

What ever you say about Dunn, whether you like him or hate him, no one can deny that he gives 100% at every contest and is a wonderful kick on both feet.

People who think Dunn goes hard at it need to look closer. Jetta on the other hand does go hard at it

Agree on both counts.

Dunn is as soft as anyone else on our list (except Morton, maybe). His 'aggression' is fake, all he does is strut around and push people, but when push comes to shove he is pathetic. When it matters, too (i.e. going for the ball) he shirks contests, ducks his head, and then tries to make up for it by remonstrating and pushing.

The sooner we delist this list-clogging, space-wasting, finger-pointing has-been, the better.

I actually rate Dunn and would be shocked and angry if he did not get a new contract.

You'd be shocked and angry? That we delisted someone who's been on our list for about 7 years and has achieved nothing to date? Who hasn't improved at all in the last 4 years? Who pulls out semi-impressive (I use this phrase loosely) performances only when it's getting near the end of his current contract?

You could be disappointed, but you would have no ground to be shocked, and you'd be silly to be angry.

What 10 players? I am quite keen to hear as I think as soon as any other players are delisted you will be calling for Neeld's head again and placing the blame on him for their performance.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
