Not everyone can play for a successful team or have success in their playing career, it just doesn't work. All these young uns expect success and believe their longevity at a [censored] club means they deserve success elsewhere. Additionally, not every club can make the finals or be a contender. What I don't understand is how will the crap clubs ever get better if they have their free agents continually seeking out greener pastures. I like what someone recently wrote about banding things up so top 4 couldn't get FA's etc. Also interesting to see that most FA's are getting signed up on juicy long term deals, like their new clubs understand they are dealing with money hungry grubs. Edit: To get the font size bigger than ants.

It's quite a short sighted view from the players' union. If four clubs fall over then there's less employment for players, less cash to go around etc.

There's running and there's running. Marathon runners, like his sister, don't need to be quick. I was at international level as a junior over 3km but could/can barely break 13 sec for 100m. This would see me beaten by every AFL player going around. If you aren't quick you need endurance and I think this is what Jack has.

I'm not sure what is considered quick in AFL but Jack ran 51sec for 400m at the 2012 APS sports which isn't lightning but is above average. With that 400m time I reckon he would be about a 11.5 for 100m.
