so...just popped off the plane and took in the next avail fracas ??

B59. I am saying that the Alice would be the closest major hub for Jurrah to fly back to Melbourne. Yuendumu is nearly 6 hours drive from the Alice and it has a small airstrip to accommodate small aircraft.

Liam might have flown between the two or he may have driven it.

Either way, he would have had to depart from Alice Springs for Melbourne. You will find that many aboriginals from troubled communities escape to the larger town and city centres to avoid the violence. Obviously though, sometimes it follows them.

settle down... ABC radio reports he is being questioned which is different to being held in custody.

I think we need to just wait for relaible information.

this is the very distinction that some are suggesting.

We await further info... yet no matter what, the problem for us ( as a club ) is as I put before , you cant really serve two masters. i.e You cant really put 100% in if your mind's divided. Thats just a fact. Some may poo=poo it and dance around it, but we have seen its taking a toill.

You know...ive managed to transit many an airport without getting arrested . its not that hard

Cameron was meant to be on the run home program which is now finished... Still no response from SEN or Cam himself but looks like he isn't coming on.

you don't get 'involved' in a family feud involving a large number of people (supposedly) in an Alice Springs outer suburb a long way from the airport

in-transit my arz!

Well I'll just wait for you to tell everybody what the truth is following these very definitive remarks!

In-transit always doesn't mean directly B59. You know that.

No..this is what is.. youre either in transit and you keep your nose clean.

or

you have some other reason for being there.

.

youve suggested he was simply in transit.. I think we both know thats rubbish

Now that we know Liam's OK and no-one has died..

My attention turns to our FOJ sponser and what they may potentially think about attaching their name to a club that,

1. only weeks ago suspended a player (slyvia) for an early morning car accident, after an all night drinking session and

2. now has another player in custody, after being involved / around / in the vicinity of, a machete attack - in the middle of nowhere.

Would attach your business to an organisation that was dealing with the above problems?

This is just [censored] [censored]!!!!!! first we lose Scully, then we lose Aussie and now it we look to lose Jurrah [censored] THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's next? maybe we'll lose Watts to basketball, due to exterior pressure.....

A lie down is in order for you my friend. Perhaps we could wait until some more information comes to hand.

McQueen we all know Alice is a hub for getting to yuendemu, so why do you keep going on about it?

The original question was why was the 'family business' happening in Alice and not yuendemu

Anyway listening on the radio to a reporter from NT it seems that one of the feuding clans since the initial death a few years ago has largely (not completely) dispersed for their safety from yuendemu with a lot going to Alice. The reporter was unsure whether the man (allegedly) attacked in this case was from Liam's clan or the other one

What they could potentially think? They might give us more cash for being in the news all the time. Who really knows. My ears are deaf from all the alarm bells ringing off around here.

They could think..

'We're trying to break into the aussie market and associating ourselves with an organisation busy bailing its employees out of jail.. is not such a good thing'.

That's what i'm thinking..

EDIT: not in this case DC.. the FOJ has dragged on long enough, this wont help..

1 step forward, 2 steps back.. it's the Melbourne way!!

The OX said that Cam would only come on if he had confirmation of the incident in question even though he was booked for other reasons. Guess he doesnt have confirmation yet.

Still believe this will be a much smaller incident and feel know reason to fret as yet.

I think liam is a smart guy all together

Can't believe some of the tripe I'm reading on here. Maybe we just chill until Rudeboy gets on with some facts. Given the vigour with which some of you jump to conclusions I'd be amazed if your hamstrings weren't ripped off the bone. FMD.

So you are already assuming that somehow the sponsor (for arguments sake let's say they are based in china) has already found out about Liam and have also presumed he is guilty of a terrible crime and our now doubting their potential commitment to the dee's. Gee'z the business world must be full of stupid assumptions. Also any future sponsor in contact with us would be doing so with Full knowledge of what happened to Col Sylvia it didn't happen yesterday.

Despite not knowing all the facts, a combination of the words Jurrah, head injuries, machete and custody have me braced for bad news. I find those comments making light of all this disgraceful.

One thing I will assume is he will be suspended, No question. Colin Sylvia, Sammy Blease both suspended for minor indescretions. All this rubbish about tribal law and community means nothing. He is a MFC employee and is expected to act like one. Getting held by police is more than enough for Melbourne to suspend him indefinately if not worse. I massive [censored] in the face by a player afforded so much.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
