Yes The Ox did get stuck in, i remember that well. I was talking more of the press articles, all the journalist's tip toe around the issue considering when Phil signed..& when Tom came home from China.

The Ox was spot on and little Tom knew it.

The ox has a way of telling the truth . Scully is like Tom Cruise by comparison-ie he can't handle it .Poor little rat .

Not a person in the footy community with half a melon would look at this bloke and not think "scumbag".

Funny you should say that .

The atmosphere was picnic blankets and fun , even the Giants fans knew the serious stuff was to come a little later in the year.

Only a Collingwood supporter who abused Scully when he arrived at the game looked to be taking it seriously.

An interesting article from of the Sunday Age on GWS recruiting and an expected Victorian counterattack Fear not Victoria

Good article that.

I'm looking forward to Tomlinson getting homesick. Maybe we can grab him at the end of next year.

Er, in that article I think Niall referred to Clark as a 'good, ordinary player.'

Condemned by faint praise.

I think this view is widespread in the footy world and I hope Mitch spreads wide the footy world and shoves that view up it's .... .

I must admit to waiting for the match tonight to start. New Foxtel and such.

There was no joy in seeing football, I was surprised how much venom I felt for Scully. I just looked for him the whole quarter then turned off. It brought me right back to one Brian Wilson playing for St Kilda shaking his fist at the members after kicking a goal circa 1991.

Franky, Willo was only ordering 2 coffees from the member's canteen. Nothing sinister in that!

''You look at it from my side but also from the side of the supporters. People are very passionate about their clubs and they obviously don't want to lose players. The supporters kind of think they own you if you play for the club, but that's footy. They pay their membership and they are part of the club, they are the life of the club, you need them to survive, but they probably didn't look at it from my position. It's a great opportunity for me to come up here and be part of something special. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.''

I find that comment really offensive, why doesn't he just shut his mouth and stop talking rubbish?

Of course we can all see it from his position, we always have. He doesn't seem to understand that it was the way he went about it that caused so much anger. As the other posts have mentioned, there doesn't seem to be a hint of regret there at all. Completely deluded.

The point that annoys me regarding people's view on Clark is that he is not worth the money we have paid.

I think it is fair to say that Clark has been 'good ordinary player' based on his past few seasons.

No doubt we are overpaying based on what he has produced as a forward so far.

We needed a big forward who could take a contested mark and create a contest.

We had to overpay to get him to the club.

But the part that others forget is that Clark is 25 years old, 200cm tall. He will be coming into his prime right now.

If other talls are a guide he will be a lot better in the next few years than what he has displayed so far.

Most football fans don't seem to understand that he has not yet peaked.

What I saw of him against Tarrant last year made me think he was worth plenty because he showed some fighting spirit .Just loved watching him take the pith out of

Taz and beat him at the same time .Still raw but can lead , mark and kick .Very happy to have him on board and I'll pay the Skype bill for him to call home .

I dont think we made a mistake or paid to much .Seen as the coup of the off-season .

Won't be long & they will all find out!

Clark will love the size of the MCG, let's not forget that. Room to move. Not that the Gabba is small, but playing 14-15 games a year on the 'G would have been a strong selling point.

He surely has mild Asperger's. Someone should really tell him to shut up.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
