If Tom Scully is in the best 10 footballers in the country and wants to return to Melbourne FC after concluding his contract with GWS, would you take him?

Given the amount of vitriol already on this site directed toward him, I suspect it will be difficult for many posters to say "yes". In which case, I hope those same posters are not actually working in our List Management area in 2016. Emotion is great when watching from the grandstand, but it's not so helpful when making business decisions.

(If his contract with GWS is for 6 years, please feel free to read 2016 as 2017).

I dont think scully would want to come back and play second fiddle to Jack viney.

Tom Scully coming back to us? No thanks, and may his career be plagued with knee complications!

I thought about this possibility when he first defected. I considered then how I felt (very pi$$ed off) and how I would feel every year thereafter. His depature and the way it transpired will have less and less significance for me personally, every year that passes by.

When we start winning consistantly and hopefully getting premiership success, the team should have a fair portion of the ten best footballers in the country anyway and we'll not need to recruit that type of player.

IF and a might big if that would be, $kullky would be in the top 10 at the end of his 6 year stint, there is no club in the comp that could afford him.

The $6M boy certainly wouldn't go anywhere for less money unless he has a Bionic Knee thrown in.

He may WANT to be out of the GWS rabble after 6 years so be prepared to take a signifigant cut. I mean he should have wisely invested by then, money shouldn't be top priority, unless he has blown it all, but i doubt that. His knee physio would be costly though after 8 seasons. The contract would be on MFC Terms.

i'd rather stick hot iron rods through my eyes and ears, then have that money grabbing traitor come back to melb.....nothing would ever make me not buy a membership except for that scenario

His knees will be shot by then. Not saying so as sour grapes , I just think he wont last the distance as anything useful.

We wont need him anyway.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
