The Mitch Clark Thread

Heart Beats True

Recommended Posts

Mitch Clark has asked to be traded and although Fremantle are favourites, according to "deepthroat" on twitter, the Dees and Bulldogs are circling.

Would take something huge to land him and I don't know if he would be worth the outlay.

Interesting. He's a good year and I reckon he can play but wouldn't it push the development of Gawn back? I'd say it'd effectively take game time off him.

I'd say if Griffan were to go than Freo would definitely be front runners to get him.

Is an interesting one. He's definatly worth looking at. Although I reckon he'd cost us a lot in a trade. Brisbane would be after something like Martin & our first pick in return.

I'd expect he'll end up with Freo, straight swap for Zac Clarke maybe?

I think it's time we had a specially dedicated rumour file for the duration of the period up to the end of trade week.

A tweet from Deep Throat suggesting Melbourne is interested in Mitch Clark sounds more than somewhat improbable but funnier things have happened in the trades period in the past.

A bit of noise picking up about Jonathon Griffin going to Port Adelaide, so if he goes Mitch Clark to Freo has some strong currency behind it.

I can understand us being in the mix, but how much is too much for Clark? Expect a bidding war for an emerging big, and if we are on the mix what does this mean for our crop of bigs including the out of contract but versatile Steph Martin? I am in the camp to retain Martin for at least another 2 years to see where he can go. He has a high ceiling and if he can reach it we are looking at having a very handy player.

We are always in the mix @ this time of year to land the bigger names.

However it never happens.

We desperately need a win of some kind to lift our spirits

Mitch Clark would be a good start to turning our currrent nightmare existence around.

That twitter account very rarely has any inside info. Last trade period it was all over the shop. My guess is that it's someone guessing.

That spyandsource twitter account is about as successful at predictions as the Village Idiot in the Friday Age. Take anything said on

there with a large handful of salt. Check the history if you're not convinced.

As for Clarke, I agree he'd be too similar to Martin, albeit a bit more polished. Why not go for more of an out and out forward from

somewhere else rather than an inbetweener?

Youd think wed be able to outbid them , if purely picks. Still doesnt pay to make too many assumptions in trade week.lol

if we get him he has to sign a long term deal at least 4 years. He is 25 years old

and homesick I wouldn't be putting all my eggs in this basket.

He'd be a good get but I think we are only being stated as an option to motivate Fremantle.

What happens then with Martin.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
