It may be nothing, but Jonesy hurt himself in the first quarter and to me he seemed ginger all day. I know he's not the fastest player in our side but he seemed even slower today, so he may be given a week off as well.

Out: Bail, Garland (injured), Dunn (suspended), Jetta, Bennell

In: McKenzie, JMac, Evans, Nicholson, Gawn

As a Gysberts fan, I was really disappointed with the number of his turnovers today.

Stick with Juice and Martin, thought they had a real crack. With the injury to Grimes we should bring one of Nicholson or Evans on to the main list for some midfield cover.

Yeah but who do you drop him for? We're actually running out of midfielders. Jetta and Bennell were poor, Green was not there but won't be dropped, Morton probably will only come back if he annihilates Bendigo, Bail is out for minimum a month (and possibly season depending on whether its ACL or PCL), Scull is still 2-3 weeks away, Trengove is suspended. Jordie may actually come back if he plays well for Casey tomorrow, and Evans and Nicholson are lining themselves up, but apart from them we just dont have anyone we can bring in for him.

will be interesting to see how Casey go tomorrow, but at the moment...

Out: Bail (inj), Garland (inj), Dunn (susp), Bennell

In: Rivers, Nicholson, McKenzie (if he gets through a full game), Macdonald

I wish we didn't have that many injuries. In a fully fit list, Jetta would be straight out the door and Gysberts would be treading carefully as he just isn't damaging.

Chances for the rookies, especially if Bail is out long-term. Is there a limit on how many we can promote in the play of LTIs?

disagree with those dropping Jetta, he stays... Aussie tried today, but Rawlings was wearing him like a glove, especially early...

If Jetta stays it would only be because of the two injuries and Dunn. His skill level is appallingly bad, and I didn't see him working as hard as you did (someone said he laid 12 tackles, which helps his cause, but his chasing at times wasn't good enough and he doesn't offer too much outside of tackling anyway).

Wonna was outplayed by Rawlings but I saw a lot more effort from him.

As a Gysberts fan I'm really disappointed that you'd pick on a player with less than 10 games experience who has sensational hands in close and goes in extremely hard, despite weighing less than a toothpick.

Out: Bail :(, Dunn (susp.), Aussie (fitness is horrible)

In: McKenzie (RUSH him in), TBC depending on Casey performances

I'm hoping Garland gets up. He did play more than a quarter after the injury, so possibly just badly twisted and bruised and will be OK.

I nearly shat myself when he hobbled off pointing to his foot. Given the week we've had I kept thinking that maybe he re-injured the foot. Oh the horror! :(

IMO we'll keep changes to a minimum given we are already struggling with so many injuries. Jetta was good and hard at the contest, and we have to keep giving Maric some more chances when no one else is really pressing for selection. Fingers crossed McKenzie is half fit. I'd bring him in and sub him off if he gets tired. FFS we need to give Moloney some help!

Could be a chance for Blease and Strauss to get a game too. Would prefer to give them each a game or two than someone like Macdonald who we know exactly what to expect from. I hope Rivers is back next week.

Out: Bail, Garland, Dunn, Wonaeamirri

As for the In's I think they'll come out of Rivers, Macdonald, Blease, Strauss, McDonald, Evans, Morton, Nicholson and Bate.

Possibly 8 of our best 22 out next week. Ouch.

Yeh you're right, I take it back. But we have to do something about our midfield, I just don't know what. Over the next few weeks we're going to need midfielders who can play to a losing ruck, and Gys is one of the better ones at this. Maybe I expected too much from him because he IS usually so good in close.

It's the Saints next week right? So we need to load up on pace. I'd love to see Nicholson get a game, And if Blease were to have a good run tomorrow I'd consider his a chance. Sadly, there will be plenty of room in the team for these players to find spots.

I'm backing both Garland and Bail to be gone for their injuries, plus Dunn suspended. At the very least then we need to bring in another back and a pacy runner. Bate will probably get Dunn's spot in a straight swap. Rivers for Garland seems likely, although Joel Mac could get in depending on matchups. It's the replacement for Bail that is interesting, as well as any other mids they decide to drop. Will Morton force his way back in or will they give the run to one of our untested runners? Will they rush Jordie back into the side to play a stopping role?

I didn't see the whole game so I don't think I can comment on who goes out aside from the obvious three. I'm backing Rivers, Bate and probably Jordie to be the ins for those three.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
