I heard Bailey on SEN state that it does not look good.

They will know more tomorrow and much will depend on the swelling over night.

The injury happened in the last few minutes of the game. He struggled to get off the ground after it happened and limped across from the bench to the rooms after the game, with ice strapped to his right knee. I was really worried at the time. Here's hoping there's not much to it.

Normally if you damage your ACL you don't ice the knee, do you, because ice won't help muscles or ligaments.

Also, does the knee swell when you damage muscles?

From experience, swelling could be a sign of bone damage. I f'ing hope he didn't fracture his patella, because after 2 months I still can't even walk properly, but then it's better than a reco!

It's probably too early to swear, but #%&^!!

Players have done ACLs before and walked off the ground so we'll have to wait and see on Morton, but it's never good when the coach says it doesn't look good. The medico's would have done the tests and have a fair Idea, but it can only be confirmed once he's had a scan, but I've prepared myself for the worst.

Also being reported from those at the ground that Moloney may have a calf injury (unconfirmed) and that Sylvia may have a hammy (unconfirmed)

Don't think there's too much to worry about Sylvia. He pulled up at one point as if might have strained a hammy but I think he just landed awkwardly as he ran the game out fine after that from what I could see.

Shocking news about Cale. I must admit I am kind of expecting the worse after seeing it. Was hoping it was just a killer cork.

Gutted for the bloke.

I have bannned strausski for the celebration of a players injury. There were a few people who were upset by these comments and wanted to be removed from the Demonland membership as a result of our inaction to delete the offending material quickly enough despite the fact that we are volunteers and it is a Saturday night. Nevertheless I have obliged and deleted their accounts.

I damaged my knee last year playing footy where I knocked it into the ground during a tackle. It was fairly swollen and it turned out I damaged the Bursa (fluid sack behind the patella). I was out for 4 weeks but in saying that, I am 32 and not 20!

Bursitis is what Scott Lucas had on his elbow last season.

Ive had the same before - it hurts like hell if you get a knock, but you can't really damage it more, it just won't heal until you rest it.

Functionally you should still work the same with a torn bursa, just that you have to deal with the pain.

I get the feeling Morton's injury is a bit worse than that.

I was only metres away and it looked like a clash of knees.

HHhahahahaha WTF, why do people take themselves so seriously?!

You guys do a fantastic job, if a little hard line to placate a screaming conservative minority, but none the less a fantastic job to look after the place.

Anyone have any news on the injury? What has happened and how long he's out etc?

Someone on Demonology said its a 4 week injury.

Not too serious.

Wow. So let me get this straight, they wanted to have their memberships deleted as a direct result of the mods "inaction?" Have I got that right?

Precious much? You're not HELPING MFC any more by removing yourself from a (mostly anonymous) supporter group.

PS, bravo for the deletion.

4 weeks? I'd take that. Means he probably will be right for round one, or close to it.

I wasn't at the game but if the injury was due to a collision rather than lateral movement he is a chance to escape without serious injury. Mind you, if DB says it 'looks bad', that's a very concerning sign. It's in the lap of the Gods.

He injured it in a 3-4 man marking contest in the Bombers F50, whether it was a result of the collission or lateral movement though is anyones guess.

It looked bad at first but once he managed to find his feet a minute or two later and limp off, albiet gingerly, I was hopeful it was not too serious.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
