Yep, North Melbourne in R22..

hope that does not offend anyone here!

I believed you the moment I read it. Sometimes one just has to go with one's gut feel. Also, you've been on the money before.

Yep, same here, but I can understand the skeptisism.

If you come good on this one, you'll get another tick next to your name for credibility, but I wouldn't blame anybody for not believing something read on a forum til its official.

Hell, half the bloody stuff in the papers you can't even trust.

It's a funny game football, how anyone can tell what a game is going to be like 12 months out, has got me beat !

You never, never know. Don't give me "but, the odds are..." old chestnut either.

I'll be bloody happy if the Melbourne-North Melbourne game next year is a good one.

But, the odds are...

Uggghh, you are such a bully!

He said 'possibly'?! OK?

You just leave him alone!!

Leave Britney alone!!

Have we gone past the point where a reference to that guy crying for Britney is funny?

Oh, we never got to that point?

Oh.

Damn.

 had to be done.

Whilst both sides were disappointing in 2009, there is alot of positives at both clubs - off and on the field (ie. new purpose built facilities)- whether it be new coaches (ie Brad Scott, Glen Archer) and/or changes to the playing list (host of early draft picks) and further development. These things can at times turn things around for a club quicker than expected. We only have to look at our clubs history and acknowledge this.

I don't know what has happened to you lately, but you and a couple of others genuinely make this site unreadable.

I don't know what has happened to you lately, but you and a couple of others genuinely make this site unreadable.

The 'off-season' happened to me.

How could anyone, let alone you, take this place seriously with all the drivel that is posted at this time of the year?

I am trying desperately to entertain myself and, yes, I know I am being annoying and tiresome, but at least I am not -

- jumping at shadows with 'OMG! This player is leaving!' nonsense.

- constantly whinging about how 'nobody wants to come to Melbourne, why is it so, Mommy?' and the 'AFL never gives us a good draw even though we are back-to-back woodenspooners, it's crazy, Daddy!'

- getting pseudo-sociological with the reasons why nobody comes to see the worst team play football.

This makes Land unreadable for me.

Different strokes, Hannibal.

I'll get serious when this place gets serious.

Which will be around (looking at my watch) March.

I'd say that's hinting at night games more than anything.

I'm not certain how old fashioned night football is...

It's all a bit moot for me as I will be as of 2010 a Victorian living in another state. I know you're supposed to say ex-Victorian, but I just can't bring myself to say that...

I tell you one thing though: I'll be at the G for Trengove's and Scully's first game. Even if its a $250 Qantas peak hour ripoff.

(Please excuse the apostrophes if they are misplaced - it's the one thing I can never get a hang of.)

Well its not "Trengove is and Scully is first game", doesnt make sense.

When its something personal to you, or not replacing the letter 'i' -it goes at the end..

RPFC's a numbnut. RPFCs' numbnuts. ;)

Sounds like we've got some more Sat afternoon (& Sat night?) games, which would be an absolute bonus!

Puts us in the thick of the round, instead of being some tacked on game at the end of a weekend, that no-one hears about. Schwabby's happy anyway!

(BTW - you seen the "IT" South Park episode? Be thankful you're not catching a plane in the U.S.)

You believe??

Who the hell has educated you people?

"Unless there was an "i" the apostrophe goes at the end???

Never heard such crap. No idea where you got that from, but it is completely wrong.

Simple:

Who is it that is having his first game? Scully. Therefore it is Scully's first game.

Same with Trengove having Trengove's frist game.

If it happened to be Nathan Jones, then it would be Jones' first game.

The Toilet for Men? Well that makes them Men's Toilets.

As opposed to the Ladies' Toilets.

I should be a fricken school teacher.

But hey, at least we're breaking down stereotypes here and showing that it isn't just Collingwood who have uneducated morons for supporters...

With patience like that, I can't imagine why you're not a teacher B)

Your penchant for abusing posters has become really, really boring.

Yeah, probably, but I post on here to entertain myself.

The schoolteacher thing was a self-deprecating crack.

And yeah, maybe a bit abusive, but who the hell invents fake rules for punctation?

DemonDan?

To think I'm training to become a teacher!

I guess.

Its frustrating when someone inexplicably goes out of their way to perpetuate a pet hate of yours.

But maybe I should have just started a thread like H did on the General Board.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
