I don't want to pat myself on the back too much , and I may have been stating the ' bleeding obvious ' but I did pick it in my 3 word player analysis this week ( ' a certain nominee ' )

Right now Rich will win. But if Grimes has another 3-4 games like on the weekend and plays the remaining 8 games lookout! He can win. Will be captain in 3 years time barring injury.

And of the 9 games or so he's played it's one of the rare three word summaries you've given where you've said something positive about him.

Yep I reckon if he keeps up his form he is a chance to steal it. He is finally getting noticed by the media and pulls out big numbers each week. A definite chance.

Great stuff. Over the long haul, it wouldn't surprise me if Grimesy turns out to be seen by the football public as the pick of his draft year, which includes the likes of Kruezer and Cotchin. Well done Jack!

Was always going to get it if we won, that's how good he's been. Goot to see Joeboy taking credit for a player who he has regularly derided in his 9-game career getting a Rising Star nomination that pretty much everyone on the site had anticipated he'd get.

I haven't raved about him in the past , it's true , but I have RARELY said anything negative either . I really like the kid .

Funny that he hasn't been nominated until now though , if he's been as oustanding as so many Demonlanders , including you ,have purported .
