CBF reading this whole thread but I noticed a lot of people weren't so much offended by the fact they dressed that way, but that they posted the pic and how it went from there? What's that about?? If you think it's OK to go for laughs based around a theme of paedophilia then have a good look at yourself. It's completely wrong. Nothing to do with PC and we shouldn't loose sight of that just because it's 'Mad Monday'. Same standards apply across society, they're not different for those we put on a pedestal because they kick a footy.6 points

There's no doubt our list needs change, but go easy on some of these blokes being delisted at this time of year. It must be a bloody awful feeling for them. A bit of sensitivity wouldn't go astray.6 points

You would think that Middleton J would hold off with his decision until Essendon's season is over. Hopefully, we'll hear from him on Monday morning4 points

#2 in the AFL for total disposals #3 in the AFL for total clearances #1 in the AFL for effective disposals should win his third consecutive club best and fairest Nathan Jones should have been rewarded for his year, also to the person suggesting he wouldn't get a game at the Hawks, you're kidding yourself, he's a walk up start to any other club in the AFL without a moments doubt.4 points

Bit depressing that we had nobody nominated given we're supposed to have a young list. The closest we got was one week when JKH was in contention for a nomination but he missed out to someone else. Perhaps next year with someone like Jesse Hogan or whoever we pick up with pick 2 if we manage to keep it.3 points

I reckon its like the Melbourne vs GWS or Brisbane game - some of the dullest football from either team you will ever see with neither team really wanting to win.3 points

I thought he was borderline to get in and to be honest, don't give a rats about purely subjective awards like the brownlow or AA. However these two posts make me shake my head. There is little doubt in my mind that he would get a gig in any other club in the AFL.3 points

Generally I'm not one to write "thank you" notes for departing delisted players (well I haven't been too fond of it over the past few years anyway) although this time is different. So thank you fellas for your hard work and dedication, I always admired how how Nicholson attacked the pre-season - particularly in his running. As for Clisby he seemed to have had his head screwed on well and also trained his guts out to initially earn his spot. It's a shame it didn't work out and that neither ever got to that AFL standard. All the best and I wish you both well for your future endeavors.3 points

I hate GWS and if Saints really want Mccartin then I would not be giving GWS Pick 2 so they can get hold of Petracca, I'd be trading Pick 3 just to put someone else in front of them who may be eyeing off Wright or Brayshaw. If GWS want Petracca so badly then I want one of their absolute guns in return that being Treloar or Shiel. About time we started becoming as difficult as some of the other clubs3 points

How much of a shot in the arm would it be to have the forward line we had thought we'd have at the start of this year for 2015: Clark, Hogan, Dawes, Kent, JKH and Howe.3 points

I find the timing of the decision more interesting than the decision itself. It would seem to me to make for a better B&F night if the squad remained intact until then. Do Nicho and Clisby go along? Can't blame them if they don't want to yet I feel they should be there. It's possible they asked to be told as soon as possible to allow them to get on with their lives, I guess. Anyway, I wish them well and thank them for their service. It's not their fault if they aren't quite good enough to stay on the list.2 points

Django the Football world owes us nothing The spot we find ourselves in is 90% of our own creation the last decade has been a disaster for the MFC Only success on the Park will fix that. Suck in your gut and be prepared for at least another three years before the tide turns. Then the media will view us differently until then the shambles tag will remain.2 points

Heard this morning on 3AW from Sly of the Underworld who is a barrister in Melbourne that Justice Middleton will be handing down his decision a lot sooner than Nov/Dec. From what he said I assume there is a good chance it could be announced during this final series. Sly was surprised that Middleton has made his decision so soon. I might be wrong but I assume this could be in favour of ASADA more than EFC.2 points

2014 wasn't an enormous improvement on 2013. It was an improvement, so at least we're moving in the right direction. But you can't say there has been enormous or immense improvement with rankings such as: 18th for points scored 18th for inside 50s 17th for clearances 16th for contested possession 15th for tackles We've gone from diabolical to poor. That's an improvement.2 points

Thanks to both for donning the red and blue. Although both would have seen the end looming, it would still be a tough pill to swallow. I reckon Clisby in particular would be doing it hard. This time last year he would have thought he had an AFL career ahead of him, now it's all over just as quickly as it started. Tough business, the AFL.2 points

if after watching a lot of footy you come to the conclusion he would not make the Hawks 22, don't watch anymore you are simply wasting your time, you will never be any good at it.2 points

it works the other way IMO, it is harder to look good in a shyzen side because nobody with any skill is helping you out and you get all the opposition attention2 points

Bulldust. He had a fantastic season. This oversight doesn't change that one iota.2 points

Interestingly they mention that we've made 3 list changes, noting Shannon Byrne's retirement as well. Mitch Clark's 'retirement' wasn't mentioned in the article.2 points

I'd drop out Tom Libbertore, Jones is second in the comp for disposals, averaging 7 more disposals per game2 points
