Hold fire! We may give up pick twenty-four and twenty-eight and get pick fifteen in return

I’m holding.

Plausible. That scenario would give GWS a net gain of +350 draft points

Nah Blues have enough young talent coming through. They still have Jagga Smith coming on next year who is an absolute jet, Harry Dean in this year's draft who i have watched come through the Murray Busgrangers and then Cody Walker next year who could have easily been a top 3 prospect in this year's draft. Walker is Will Ashcroft/Nick Daicos in terms of being immensely talented.

They'll be fine.

Blues list is terrible. Adding 3 talented 18 year olds will certainly help but they’ll struggle for awhile yet

I think you mean Gold Coast but yes they get enough points to match bids on their academies

30yo Trac for 2 high draft picks is a fair/good deal. We get millions off our salary cap

Couldn't give a rats about pick 24 which will become 32 in a weak draft

Is it?

Curnow getting offers for way more, for a bloke who can only play forward, and who’s broken bodied.

And no, he’s not that good, take away the whistle, and all the goals he boots against North and WCE, he’s useless.

Look at his finals record vs Trac.

We deserve at least one good player for Trac with a pick.

Don’t know the last time I saw a forward win the best and fairest, because simply they’re not.

I've seen some of Dean.

If there is a better out and out key defender in the draft I'd like to hear it. Seems to have everything: good overhead, positioning with ball in flight, distribution, intercepting, closing speed.

If it’s true we’re giving Trac, 24 and 28 for 7+8 and a future Suns’ pick, that’d better bloody be their future first or Tim Lamb can hand his resignation in at 7:31pm

Guessing we're going to have to wait until 1900-1930 for the Petracca and Oliver trades.

No better time to do some footy trades!

If we get 7&8 and improve our hand for next year I think we will have done very well.

Before the trade period I was convinced we would have had to pay a big lump of his salary to get deal like that.

I’m hoping that the money we pay Clarry tapers off after the first year or two.

If we do get 7 and 8 could we send 8 to the hawks for Cam McKenzie and help them get the merret trade done?

Don’t think Essendon want more picks. I think they are just playing for time and will keep him. I have more sympathy for Humphrey than ZM tho. They guy wanted out, then extended on higher coin, and wants out again… not how it works, skipper

Pity it's not picks 6 and 7 so we can say the trade is a bit 6 7

My son assures me this is funny to (very) young people

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
