It’s sorted then. We all agree.

No Humphrey. No Tracc.

Let’s go.

IMO the only way BH comes to us is if he nominates us and says he wants to move to vic for family reasons otherwise it will end up being draft pics 🤮 cause I don’t think trac is walking back into the club.

Lamb has said it has to be a head turning deal to obtain Trac.

For me picks 7&8 in this draft don't move my head at all. Would prefer grumpy Trac back.

Bailey Humphrey on the other hand has me going full Linda Blair from The Exorcist.

Can someone upload a gif of the guy who rapped 'Do the Humpty Hump' in the 90s please?

It would mean a lot to me.

Your thinking of Shock G and his alter ego Humpty Hump from the hip hop band Digital Underground.

Many would argue that pick 17 in last year’s draft had a better year (in his first season) than Humphrey had last year.

Statistically similar years in many ways.

Pick 8 in last year's draft could have got us Tootsie.

Is he Trac tradable material?

As good as JT is, there's also a fair element of luck about the draft I recon. That's where trading Trac a player of established senior capabilities at AFL level for BH of similarly established capabilities, be it somewhat less established, but in a younger body is a more reasonable trade than dipping into the draft. Particularly in a weak draft year, where there could be plenty of Tootsies.

Just thought we all needed a visual on that

At the end of the day what deal will we get the most out of going forward

  1. Bailey Humphrey he is young and a very good player

  2. Petracca for 4 years is still good and we know exactly what he brings

  3. 2 draft picks in an unknown draft best case scenario we get 2 stars but could just as easily get 2 duds that would be delisted by the time Petracca finishes up at the suns

So when you think about it if option 1 doesn’t work out I would rather keep petracca

Do you think you speak for everyone not keen on 7 & 8 ?

I'm one of them and he speaks for me

It's been explained, at least once on this board, that the Hawks have nothing to give other than picks, which the Suns don't want/need. Certainly no player of the calibre of Petracca.

But if those picks helped land them Petracca by on-trading them to us then they do want/need them.

Why do we need to include pick 24 in a deal to trade Trac?

If Humphrey is included in this deal then 24 and a pick 42.

Trac, pick 24 and pick 42.

for pick 7,8 and Humphrey.

More than fair GC get their points for NGA and we set ourselves up before Tassie come in.

Just take Humphrey and swap picks for the same points as pick 7

We are trading out a generational player who has 4 years on a contract who is going to market their club.

With all due respects What has Bailey Humphrey's done? How many Brownlow votes, Norm Smith's medals or Premierships has he got?

I think alot of people are missing the point here if GC want mainstream relevance they are going to have to pay a price for it.

Remember pick 7 and 8 will become pick 12 and 17 with all the nga and Father son picks.

pick 7&8 + Humphrey's

for

Tracc, 24 and 42

I think this is a very, very fair trade based on player standing and relevance in the game.

I reckon throw in Jibba as a sweetener to get Humphreys across the line.

If the Suns lose 7 & 8 for Petracca, they'll need picks.

Though that's not the point. If Humphrey wants out and then nominates the Hawks, the Suns and Hawks will have to thrash out a deal. Which will be picks.

We are in a rebuild folks. Whether it's Humphrey or not, we need to get rid of Tracc and Olly. Should have done so last year. We aint contending now. Let's just take them to market.

Too much water under the bridge on this site for me to check through if it’s been mentioned, but John Ralph said yesterday that there are ‘personal reasons’ for BH wanting to return to Melbourne ( the city ) and hopefully those reasons aren’t just about the money.

Apparently an ill family member.

Like many on here, I think you’re in for a VERY rude shock.

I seriously hope pick #24 isn't on the table!

To get 7/8 it is — they need the points and it’s. a heck of a lot better than 6 & 15 that was muted earlier.. draft isn’t deep, 7+8 ain’t Humphrey but it’s solid & can be used well or turned into something even better potentially! JT will have his targets & in JT I wholeheartedly trust.

I have a gut feeling this is sorted out today. Either he requests a trade to VIC or us, or he and his management firmly shut it down and we get shafted in a trade.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
