So I wonder who each team will choose to present the cup.

Geelong I reckon would always want ablett snr to do it but he wouldn't want the spotlight. Asking selwood would be a nice gesture especially after a terrible year for him.

Brisbane, well Voss obviously can't do it, Leigh did it last year.

Leaving a SW to die in a hotel room does tend to make one want to keep a low profile. It was an unforgivable thing he did and despite his record as a player he should never be involved in anything AFL or Geelong FC

Slight change of topic, but Chol absolutely needs to be suspended for the first 3 matches of the 2026 season. ANB got rubbed out for 4 matches falling forward in a takle in 2020, Kade Chandler 2, Kossie and Steven May also got suspended for 3 matches this year because of invidents that resulted in concussions

Chol has form in throwing his huge body around and giving other players concussions etc and needs to be taught to exercise a duty of care to his fellow players. Asides from that, I've got nothing against the guy (well that and asides for him playing for Hawthorn), but if the AFL doesn't suspend him, it's negligent and corrupt.

A Collingwood prelim loss unites us all. It brings us together as one. We’re one big happy family. For tonight anyways. Tomorrow we’ll likely all go back to biting and snapping at each other.

Oh if only every day could be a Collingwood prelim loss day 🥹

Dis Harris Andrews mention Cameron B

It's easily DL's best day this year.

If I was a pies fan I'd be asking who an earth was on Ty gallop. He kicked 3

About 20 people were on him when he took that mark!

It's fun replying to the ferals when they complain that that non umpiring decision apparently turned the game & said it was a 2 goal turn around.

You just point out Brisbane kicked 6 in the final term & you let a nobody in Ty gallop kick 3

I’m still tryna work out who on earth IS Ty Gallop 😅

Yep like the Freebe we were offered at The Lexus centre years ago which we REFUSED, Eddie stepped in annd you know the rest... Geelong have great facilities and success has come from prudent management. We have been a basket case in so many areas for a long period of time and this extends for all but a few years in the last 50! Wake up, Ghosty is not correct in this instance... and nor are you!

What are you talking about?

Zorko needs to go to confession admit that he has cost his team a Grand Final berth and only after saying 1 million Our Fathers and 2 Million Hail Mary's he still should spend time in purgatory, about a zillion years to be exact. But then out only on bail, ( easy to get in Vic)

Went a bit early eh picket!

How good to see the filth eat it on the big stage in front of all their feral fans!!

Their window is firmly shut now!!

I really like

I like you even more now I know you like DK

How were they?

I’ve got Lagwagon lined up at the Miami Marketta for my I think 7th time (including falling onto the stage with Joey at the Barwon Club)

DKs were quite good, trotted out the main classics and were on stage for about an hour and 10 minutes. Sure there is no Jello Biafra but I still enjoyed it 👍

And their old list recruitment strategy will set them back 10 years!

as a neutral at the game i thought it was a great contest

bears might be unbalancing their side if they bring in neale with a bung calf

that midfield core of mcluggage and will ashcroft with another rotating through is incredible

Wasn’t it great to see so many one-on-ones, end to end fast flowing footy. Seemed like both teams barely kicked it long down the line. Very good game to watch.

Hnmm yeah just preparing for the worst. Carn Cats next week!

Nah, stuff Chris Scott and the Cats.
Sick to death of 'em in finals.
We played 'em in '19.
Again in '21 and we've gone to sheet and they're still there.
Pizzzes me off.

Carn Fagan and the Lions.
I only know 1 lions supporter and he's a good fella.

Spot on.

The better team for much of the match. The pies threw their last punch in the third.

Blimey they have a seriously big group of gun mediums, all of whom can kick.

They lose one in Berry and he's replaced by Bruce who does a servicable job as a medium off the bench.

Bruce? Did Cameron take off his track pants and take part as a playing coach?😆

Why are the ferals booing the brisbane player?
I thought they didn't like booing.

Trac underperformed this year, blind Freddy knows that…. He should aspire to take his game to Dangerfield levels from last nights prelim. Aim high as he has the talent to achieve that

Unless you think otherwise of course?

He doesn’t have it in him anymore I reckon. Rarely plays with that type of intensity.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
