Another damn breakfast game for me and I am on breakfast duty with visitors staying overnight. Will kick them out as soon as they finish their coffee. No seconds.

Demons all over the Saints by 32 points. Go Dees!

A shout-out to all the DL'ers with Croatian heritage. I'll be listening in from Prvic Luka (off the coast from Sibenik) 🇭🇷

I will be arriving in Croatia around the end of our game. Hope to turn my phone back on to good news. Go Dees! ❤️💙

Add go dees

Dees supporters when Trac shanks it 30 metres out, on the run with the wind, 15 metres in the clear.

I never got the appeal of the snow. It's cold, it's wet and it hurts when you fall. Give me the beach any day 😎

i would much prefer to be holidaying in Croatia than watching the dirge these 2 sides will dish up

I think saints will win but maybe kossie can get us over the line. He almost won it for us against Carlton last week

The season end can't come quick enough

If I don’t see Langdon stuck to Wanganeen-Milera from the first bounce to the final siren then it will be the final straw for me in attempting to understand what Goodwin is doing.

I could point out your error but I do empathise.

As mentioned previously whoever the carryover player is wont play for 2 weeks due to the Abomination that is Smithys bye club competition. It better NOT be Jeffo coz I WILL seriously self combust!💀

Cannot watch the first bit, so the scene will be clear . Do I watch a great win or the younger players showing potential or not.

Seriously I think it will be won in the coaching box. T he e players “love” RL more or he is more adventurous.

So call it an upset if Dee’s get up, hope they do. We really should rest senior players for. One real go next year!

I would like to see three things:

  • A win, obviously

  • Kozzy and Gawn to star, locking in AA

  • Lindsay, Langford and Windsor to play well with significant game time

JVR to keep finding form, Rivers some time in the middle.

To many, all of that sounds more appealing than a predictable sighting of missed kicks, missed handballs and missed goals.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go.

Phoning it in today, Andy 😂

On paper we look the better team. On the grass at Marvel, not so much.

Dees by a couple of goals, because my red and blue heart says so.

I’ve been up since 7am, Big Spooky One. My precious girls (aka my pet chooks) woke me early. They got confused and thought it was later in the morning. Either that or they know it’s gameday and they love hanging with me when I’m manic. 😂

Anyways… Just for something different I’m tipping the Dees today 😅

Us by Maysie and a cardiac arrest (1 point)

GO THE MIGHTY DEES!!!

PS: they’re letting me wave a giant flag today. I’m on probation. This is a test and the pass mark is zero eyes taken out. Wish me (and surrounding fans) luck!

Saints on a losing streak. Like the Blues last week.

Memo to Goodwin … it’s last chance saloon

Dees MUST win this or it’s getting more than disappointing , it’s EMBARRASSING as a club !!

Here’s some basic tips from the other side of the fence

  1. Wanganeen Milera … you let him run around for 37 possessions last time. Little pressure. wtf. At least make sure he’s under pressure

  2. Dees don’t let guys like Sharman or Wood or Higgins or Owens kick 4 or more goals. Amazing how many average “no namers” like Moir and Menzie have a day out against us

  3. DONT KICK TO WILKIE. Last time the strategy was to kick it so he could intercept. Ffs. It was dumb. Dumb footy.

  4. Protect Kozzzzzy. Windhager will go to a hard tag. Other clubs like cats and pies protect their players getting tags. Blocks. Bumps. Etc. Stand up for your teammates

  5. Centre clearances. Need to get this sorted as we have been weak each week. We were pathetic

  6. Development. Like to see Langford used for 5 or 6 CBAs this week. That’s where his future lies. Not on a wing.

  7. Start the game like you’re prepared. Our slow starts are becoming systemic. Turn it on from minute 1 to the siren. Relax time is AFTER the game.

IMO Petty was brought in specifically to do the job on Wilkie who was far too strong for Melk last time out.

I also wonder who can run decoy for Kozzzzzy. In previous ANB was the perfect support cast for our stars, we need someone to take that team first role, could it be Chin, Spargs or Sparrow?

Just came back from a lovely week from the snow. It was lovely apart from 1 day where it was hideous. But you get a sunny 2 degree day & it's great.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
