Don't think it matters to him anymore 🤣

It could be good now because it leads him back to us, but I think it says more about the type of person he is.

The fact that he was influenced by his family and friends to move back to Perth, then within 5 months of dating this girl has been influenced to cut off all ties with almost all his friends/family in WA says that he doesn't really think for himself and we could find ourselves in a similar situation again.

And on the other side of things how well can he really play when he has all these off field issues going on in the background? I don't think they'll suddenly dissappear just because he's moved across the country.

All we can do is speculate but if he wants away from family and old mates could be showing he is maturing.

He made a bad call going back

Who can stay away from the mighty demons???

If he had made that decision by himself then you could say that. Making that decision after dating a girl 10 years his senior for a few months says otherwise though.

Cutting off parents is one thing, but when it extends to literally everyone he knew in WA I think it's a bit more concerning. I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden he's realised that everyone he's been close with since he was a child is actually an awful person. You'd surely think he'd have at least a couple people on his side.

Either way, it now seems almost inevitable that we're going to swap him for Kozzy so I just hope that off field stuff doesn't become a distraction.

I can't see a way this happens without Pickett being involved. We don't have anything to give them.

Second rounder and something future.

No-one's going to be playing hardball here, if players want to leave they generally get to where they want to go. (Wade Derkson excepted).

I doubt it will be a swap for Koz. There aren’t many player swap trades these days are there? Or have I got that wrong? Also, aren’t we likely to be able to trade 3 years into the future, this trade period? That would give us 2 1st rounders (not including this year’s 1st), to trade with if needed.

Will structurally his return will fixed the problem we haven't fixed since we left. Most likely. He always worked well with Gawn previously, so it won't be a Grundy situation. He's also bigger and stronger which is great.

Whether it happens, we'll find out.

I'll have to look at Tuesday West to read the article.

Here's a question; if the choice is between him and Koz who would you go with?

It could well end up a straight swap Koz/Jacko, and I'm not gonna lie that would still be difficult to swallow. Koz has the ability to be one of if not the best player in the comp, he has all the tricks and to see him do it for another club would hurt. But then Jacko could fill the void of what we're lacking right now, a quality tall. Not to mention it could work better with Max coming to the end of his career, LJ can step into his enormous shoes.

But this is actually insane that it could happen, who knows maybe a few years down the line Koz decides Perth isn't the place for him after all!

Peter Bell no longer involved with Freo and was responsible for brokering the deal to Freo.

Peter Bell also responsible for endorsing and hiring Justin Longmuir as Freo coach.

Justin Longmuir a Dead Man Walking as the coach of Freo.

Jacko's read the tea leaves and wants out of there back were it all begun happy days.

Kozzie your walking into a club that will soon not have a coach do you want to walk into this purple haze mess?

I know, i just remember how difficult it all was dealing with Bell in both the Jackson and Hogan trades. I was saying it’d be nice to see us set an asking price and stick to it, not cave in to suit anyone but ourselves.

if its a choice between kossie and LJ i would rather keep kossie.

gotta feel for LJ though. His family sound like complete deadbeats

WA populace to completely lose their [censored] over this story in... three... two... one....

If he can drag out Hayden Young with him, that would be very helpful. Come on Luke, may as well blow that place up!

The barking from MacLure and Corn-bread every time there is a Kozzie rumour about leaving is deafening.

Haven’t heard either say boo about the possibility of the Dees nabbing a high-profile player back.

I don't know the full situation but if his family/mates have all been leeching off him then I can understand why he might be cutting them off.

Given none of us really know anything about his personal situation, I'll put that to one side. In isolation, I'm absolutely all for us bringing Jackson back. He's not getting his full potential at Fremantle, and I suspect that's partly due to the side's fluctuating form, and partly due to them trying to play him alongside Darcy, which doesn't work. We know Jackson and Gawn can work together.

But if it's a choice between Pickett and Jackson, there is not a shred of doubt in my mind, the choice is simple - it's Pickett 100%.

Van Rooyen, Tholstrop and future second rounder should get it done.

The funny thing is they don’t actually need a Kozzy type. They already have Bolton and Dudley who are both good players. To be honest they don’t need many players, they are pretty stacked of talent.

What They need is a new game plan.

But what if it’s not our choice re kozzie? If he’s wanting out and jackson’s wanting in it makes sense. Obviously we love kozzie…he’s my favourite player these days. But Jackson is a gun too… and a gun tall is gold.

I watched the Freo game over the weekend with this in mind. I don’t know if Kozzy would be a great fit for them. Bolton plays more or less the same role as Koz. He goes into the centre bounce about as much as him and the rest of time is a dynamic small who can make things happen.

Murphy Reid is another one of their smalls. I rate him very highly, very skilled and creative, but neither of them are the gut running hard tackling type. They both need role players around them to let them do their thing. Add Kossie to the mix I assume Dudley gets dropped. They have a lot of tall timber too. But who’s their quality mid size role players.

They gave 2 first rounders for Bolton last year and Kossie should demand a better deal. That’s a lot of capital for similar players.

Also Freo made it known earlier this season they were prioritising Warner before Koz. That’s clearly off the table now but may indicate how they are thinking.

Would WC still be a chance if he needs to get to Perth?!

LJ will allow us to extend Max for another 1-2 years though.

Could we play Max as a KPD? Maybe as an intercepting defender?

@Demonland - can we please have the face palm emoji back?

Taking out where they want to be (which I concede is a big thing to take out), Kozzie every single time.
