Day 5 camp reportย

They went up a hill

Trac did not look happy much of the time (in Mansfield) He trained hard and well (another observation).

Perhaps heโ€™s feeling a tad โ€˜sheepishโ€™ (but not in a conspiracy theory way) after all of the brouhaha (now thereโ€™s a word you donโ€™t hear too often) and is keeping a low profile.

Regardless of what he is thinking, heโ€™ll still give his all, as he is the consummate professional; and besides, he knows that in the interests of his โ€˜brandโ€™, he must perform on the field.

ย

Tracc drove one of the mini buses in Mansfield. He certainly wasnโ€™t sulking in the backseat and not talking to anyone as a few on here would believe. Time to move on guys.ย

So much written by so many who know so little about one player.

Iโ€™ll give you my in-depth analysis of Tracโ€™s psychological condition after Iโ€™ve been to training on Monday. You can take it to the bank!

Judging from the photo gallery Day five looked like they had a big day out in their respective teams, a lot of determined looking faces and it was pretty warm conditions. The shots in the gym they look lean and mean how strong does Langford look.๐Ÿ˜

I really like our new training jumper.

Hoping we can use something similar as a clash jumper next year. The royal blue clash has been in since 2018 and I reckon we could do with a refresh.

It's awesome isn't it.

I love it. And agree it would be a terrific clash option - except against the bombersย

ย

It would be great if the club could interview a few of the players about the camp - maybe some anecdotes about the teams event, the school visits and even the training would be great media content. ย Could have interviews with an older player, an up and comer, and a new draftee.

It would be disappointing if the camp goes by without such content being created and shared.

They did an interview with Riversโ€ฆ but a few more would be good

Love it.

I do like the royal blue jumper though.

Nothing wrong with having a few different clash jumpers though!ย

Do we have anyone on the list with any serious injury concerns?โ€ฆโ€ฆ.it appears not and if that is the case we are in a very very good spot right now. Out of sight, out of the news, off to the side of the draw and fully fit. As usual my confidence is building through preseason.

meh.ย  looks a bit like a lolly wrapper.

royal blue clash is good enough

Any clash guernsey that isn't white or grey will be fine. Happy enough with our current 1975-1986 retro royal blue version though.ย

Yes, grey and white are the colours of weakness and surrender, as opposed to the years at the MFC circa 1975-1986โ€ฆ

Tbf we have now won a flag while having a royal blue jumperโ€ฆ. Maybe associate it with that ๐Ÿ˜‰

The pics look a bit like a 'Survivor' episode.

Not sure if he climbed the hill !

Any chance we can get Neale Daniher to hide in the woods and fire a few rifle rounds at the lads to keep them sharp?

Crazy that that was only ~20 years ago. Heโ€™d be sacked for that these days

Not a fan of the training jumper at all but we all have opinions

Id personally go for same colours (as home jumper) for the clash just inverted colours

If he actually did that he probably should be fired for that then

I think it was John Northey who set that up a few years earlier than Neil...had a mate hiding out.

  • Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

The Melbourne Football Club has selected a new coach for the 2026 season appointing Geelong Football Club assistant coach Steven King to the head role.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
