Too many rubbish winners, Neale a two-time winner while Bont hasn’t got one? Give me a spell.

Clarry would have had 3 by now if he was playing in a team where no one was stealing votes off of him.

Not sure, he never seemed to vote well even in the games he was great. Surprised to see him get 3 for Rd 1 this year.

Shame about Tracc’s injury. With Clarry not hoovering up votes this season, Tracc was destined to win it pre injury.

Petracca 189 games for 96 Brownlow votes.

Oliver 183 games for 116 votes before this season.

Not sure, someone put it on social media

Buddy and Carey never won a medal

That should tell you enough to know this medal is nonsense

Priddis and Tom Mitchell on their level?

Still think that is low given his dominant years. Always thought he should have gotten more. The coaches obviously saw him as worthy with coaches awards.

I feel like the All Australian should surpass the Brownlow as the AFL event. It’s a celebration of all types of players, and it’s more inclusive.

He only played over 200 games. Not very professional.

Anyway I've flicked over to have you been paying attention. I'm sure the brownlow will still be going when I flick back over

first time ive seen mark and goal of the year, can I just say, goals were average and does another team play in this comp besides Collingwood.

Hamish Mclachlan would go better at the Polo.Or a marketing awards night.Or some hair salon night of nights.

He's just a rank tool and his big brother isn't the boss now so he should F right off.

Makes me Puke chunks.

Aren't the weekly nominees selected by public vote? If so huge bias towards the big clubs, especially those whose supporters aren't rendered time poor by such inconveniences as employment.

Yes. And the 3 finalists.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
