Kev 10,926 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 18th September 2024 Jack Viney out on Gosch's with Chandler, Turner, Sestan, Kentfield and K.Brown. Small runs and kick to kick. Then headed off to AAMI. Probably to the meeting about the Caulfield announcement 13 5 2 Quote

640MD 3,568 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Isn't it just so relaxing training reports for next year in September, They will not get a better example than Viney. Fantastic stuff, pity our draft lads cannot start with him now as well 3 Quote
Whispering_Jack 31,368 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 One of the advantages of not making the top eight (and I don’t advocate we should make this a practice) is that the club will have more time to properly prepare for the season to follow. Official pre season training still doesn’t start for several weeks. 5 Quote
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 How does training like reported here fit in with the mandatory break of 7 weeks (or whatever it is)? Is this like the Monty Python Argument Clinic where John Cleese's character claims he was just arguing in his spare time? 5 Quote
Fritta and Turner 4,696 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Yes. It is not official club training. 1 1 Quote

Can't be underestimated. Max mentioned in an interview that he feels like he hasn't had a real break for 4 years. No accident either that our flag came after a season where we missed finals. 4 Quote

Yesterday I was at my gym working out next to an incredibly tall kid that looked like a young Sam Darcy. Then I realised it was Sam, and that I’m old. 2 3 Quote

Kev 10,926 Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 27th September A few MFC runners hitting the AIA track, in casual wear. Some central running 150m and hard boundary running, 600 to 1K. Viney, TMac, Rivers, Sestan, Adams, Turner, McVee, Howes, running in groups with a timed program. Oliver not grouped, running with a trainer. 8 12 Quote

Would love Sestan to take his fitness to another level this off season as he clearly has the skills to make it 6 Quote

Just as it is no coincidence that 3 of the last 4 premiers have failed to reach the finals yet following year. The AFL is extending the season to absurd lengths and of course the grand finalists start their preseason late, so it is inevitably unsatisfactory. 3 Quote
