I’d like to think so, but how much will JHF be on?

Not a million yet.

And he is 20, not a grown assed man, so you can forgive a bit.

I would be very surprised if any club would take him on for anything more than $600,000

Once that becomes apparent, the desire to rip up the contract will diminish

you need to factor in the side deals that some clubs can "engineer"

I’d be very interested to know what Bailey Smith’s next Cotton On contract looks like given the Cats number one ticket holder is their CEO and founder….

What a wonderful cricketer @The Jackson FIX. Imagine if he'd played 100 tests fully fit. But breaking in half and falling down one of the wide cracks that were opening up in the pitch can really do crazy things to a fast bowlers mind.

Not enough sticky tape in the southern hemisphere to get Bruce to 100 tests

His personal brand has 170,000 followers - the websites I oversee content for have around the same on LinkedIn. His cooking page making pasta and sandwiches has closer to 500,000, but I imagine the engagement rate other than in the past few days would be relatively low and no-one will give a stuff in a couple of years when he retires.

He's not being paid $10,000 by the Australian Egg Council to link to a post cooking a frittata.

It would obviously be appealing to be doing social media stuff compared a grueling recovery process and slogging his way through another pre-season, especially after his serious injury, but I think he's being lured by easy cash now and not understanding his brand isn't all that special to begin with and is currently being tarnished beyond repair.

Actually his engagement rate is through the roof right now. Go to the comment section. People are asking to keep football off his page.  His last recipe shares are massive compared with previous post.  (dumplings).     His personal page is not the issue here,  joining the dots it's the entity that is trac5. Hear you on the nominal amount to sponsor him. It's a range for sure.  Yes this is easy cash, you may not find his brand all that special but he'd  be in the top 10 of recipe creators in Australia I'd guess. If there are social media brand experts here I defer to them. Can't believe everything Mr google tells me.

I started eating a salmon dish he recommended and it called for a lot of butter. Then recently I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and have since gone on medication. I will be suing his brand I think

As someone who works in this space I would say that without his footy talent his cooking stuff is pretty average at best. He’s not particularly charismatic on camera and offers really nothing unique or compelling in those videos aside from “footy player who also cooks food.” Without the footy, “brand Petracca” is pretty bland.

Because half our list share the same management team that Trac is with.

He's the only one that is brand conscious and hosts his own cooking segments and wants 1m followers for cooking pasta masterpieces.

I find that Barrett article disgusting. One thing for us fans to have opinions without knowing the full story but for a brazen character attack like that to come from the AFL media is vile.

Doesn't even matter if there might elements of truth, Trac has been one of our own and is clearly going through some sort of identity crisis in the wake of his life threatening injury.

R U ok day in 2 weeks. Can't see how anything he's done has justified that trash.

Is he ****ty with the club for the way they handled the injury on game day?

I have no doubt that the club doctors followed procedure on the day. I have no doubt they did all assessments and procedures before sending him back on the field.

I would imagine* that while he was off the field the doctors would have been going by what CP5 was telling them. Was the pain located to one spot? was the pain of the ribs more than the pain of the lung/ spleen? I have no doubt that the conducted other assessments, but mostly they would have been based on what CP5 was telling them. The docs dont have the luxury of scanners etc on the boundary/ in the rooms.

I possibly came off with a 10/10 pain, perhaps that subsided after a short time to a 4/10 pain, and the conversation of giving him pain relief came up. perhaps after this the pain became a 2/10 and CP5 was sure he could go on and play. I imagine he ran at 50%- 80%-100%, did squat jumps and whatever other warm up exercises required before saying he was right to go back on. I imagine that the docs are assessing him the entire time too.

I imagine after a short time, body contact, running at 110% the pain came back to being 10/10 and he came off the ground.

I think I read that it was a second round of scans at the hospital the the true extent of his injuries came to light.

Do i think the club/ docs wish they could have done things differently, yep

Do I think that CP5 wish he could have done things differently, yep.

There was a review of what happened and the AFL have ticked it off. Could CP5 request a review and make changes to the rules for injured players across the league to make change, yep he could, and he still might be the catalyst for this .

Has he been through a traumatic experience, absolutely, but reading through the [censored] tonight, it feels like he is more traumatised by his families reaction to his situation and that he "may not have made it" than he is to the injury itself.

Was the clubs reaction the same as his families?

Did they stay at the hospital/ follow up with visits/ calls/ texts? who knows, doesnt sound like they went above and beyond. Should they go above and beyond, [censored] yeah, blow smoke up the guys [censored], do whatever is needed to make him feel loved.

Do I believe that he would take a trade right now if it were possible? yep

Do I believe he will only go to a big Vic club? no, this is media hyperbole

Do I believe he is only thinking of his brand? nope, this is media hyperbole

Do I believe his injury and the reaction by the club to be the catalyst of a bunch of things that have happened this year, to his current feeling? yep

Do I believe that he loves the players/ coaches and club? yep

Do I believe there will be monumental change within the club structure/ coaches etc? yep

Do I believe that this will be sorted by the club and he will be in red and blue next year? yep

Do I believe that he will finish his career in the red and blue? depends what happens this off season

Do I believe this will impact our recruiting this year? yep

Will I love this club forever with or without CP5? [censored] oath

Go dees

* imagine, thats all I can do. im not an AFL player, involved in a club, or a doctor

I watched replay of the 2nd quarter of the Kings Birthday clash with the Pies.

Tracc returned to the ground after JVRs goal, and walked up to join the centre square trio of Max, Oliver and Pickett.

Max gave him the faintest low-five; no contact or reaction from the other 2.

It appeared no-one bothered to ask him how he was.

When Kevin Keegan's career took off at Liverpool in the 70s he started getting a heap of sponsorship deals and was establishing himself as one of the sport's first marketable superstars. Liverpool manager would always quietly say to him:

"Just remember son, there's only one contract that matters. Your football contract"

Times have changed but the principle is the same and what Bill was saying that it's great that you're doing well off the field but don't forget why this is happening. It'd because you play football and do it well.

CP's brand is nothing without what the club has given him. He wouldn't even have half as many likes on Instagram if it weren't for what we have provided for him. I hope he hasn't forgotten this.

So in just under 2 days there has been about 1620 posts on the Petracca saga

Hands up those who have read every one of the posts in the last 2 days!  I've skimmed past the tl_dr as a case of have-to.  Keep it brief!

I'm still getting my head around the fact that we had 470 pages on the Hogan thread ... that's 11,750 posts (War & Peace anyone?)

I'm just about Petracca'd out

I would have thought Melbourne as his team is less polarising than some of the others. Look at the feedback Max gets in this space, he's widely respected.  I think whoever is advising him that his brand would increase with another team isn't serious you get a bump of maybe 30,000 which is spare change in influencer stakes. One episode of Masterchef would beat that.

Blues and Pies are out of the race,McCrae said as much today.

Clarko wanted Viney,so we trade Trac for Pick 2 and future first (they'll be bottom 2 at best next year)

Trac was pretty upset when Yze went to the Tigers,so it's their pick 6 (they won't trade pick 1) they get from the Suns for Rioli and their future first (bottom 2 next year)

We put it to Trac, you're playing for Richmond,North or us next year.

If he wants to break a 5 year contract,we decide where he plays next year, not him.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
