Clarry doesn’t want to be out there. Missed tackles, overrunning the football, just getting rid of it at all costs. He’s a liability. Would’ve much rathered seen Kynan Brown get a gig. Desperate for tackles that stick atm.        Appears that way tonite very unlike Clarry

And this is why I refuse to drive the 700km round trip to watch live.

This is unfortunately looking like the coach has lost the team. The Dogs are in form but this is putrid.

We’ve had some shocking quarters this year. This is certainly one of the better shockers.

Insipid performance by our midfield yet again. Between Gawn, Viney and Oliver not one of them can run at the ball. All three look about 90 years old.
Time to play Riv, Kosi and McVee in there. We have nothing to lose.

I can handle losing to a better team but this effort is horrible and unacceptable

Amongst all the other outs, missing Windsor. Provides so much drive through that wing and is a key link between the backs and forwards.

Pathetic.
😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I’m watching the Olympics now.
Watching athletes with heart

Will tune back in later

It’s like we don’t want to get suspended from tackling them.
Just get in there FFS

No fear of that DZ.

Need elite midfield talent coming in via the draft. Time to start preparing for life beyond Gawn, Viney, Trac and Clarry, because it's coming in a hurry.

Never seen so many broken tackles. Smashed in clearances again. Midfield not running hard enough.

McQaualter surely can’t be here next year.

All I want is to hold a tackle, a single tackle,  they are like every other teams are just walking through us... if we can hold a single tackle we'll stop their runs.

High pressure start and some of our players haven't adjusted to the speed.

Dogs off a 5 day break look 2 gears above us.

Were they even troubled 5 days ago against the swans? That game  seemed like a walk in the park for the Dogs.

The olympics is looking good

I was thinking the same. Then remembered that there’s no way I can support an organisation that allows males to fight females. It’s appalling and truly disgusting.

Dunno if I’ll invest much more time In this tonight. Maybe half time. This is beyond terrible. I know it’s only Q1 and there’s a lot of footy to play still, but wow a LOT would need to change for us to even be competitive.

Sad to say but there’s something a little fitting about the dogs destroying us? We destroyed them just 3 short years ago to win the GF and signal a mirage dynasty, and unless things change DRASTICALLY tonight they will end that for us officially, at least for this year.

Kind of bummed, fam 😢

It takes some serious coaching skill to get every single match up completely wrong. Well done Goody.

Can't tackle, can't get a clearance, can't hit the ball to a teammate, can't man up, can't kick, can't take a mark. I don't know what we do at training, but it certainly isn't practicing basic skills or tactics.

Add in McDonald and Chandler sleepwalking around, and a bunch of kids who are miles off the required standard, and the sooner this season ends the better.

PS Bontempelli is the best player in the comp, how about we show him some respect and pay him some attention?

Gawn and Viney carrying injuries. Should not be playing. No pre season has caught up with Clarry. I wouldn't play any of them again this season given the near certainty we miss finals.

Who’s missing from our best side….Petracca and Windsor a first year player.
Is Salem best 22 anymore?

Not on form no. Neither is Bowey.

Ah, Brayshaw, Oliver, Petracca and Viney when they were together and on song.

Memories.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
