Incredible player.

I think the best is yet to come.

He's certainly got a lot of room to improve.

If he improves anymore he can probably go first ruck this Saturday.

His consistency from game to game is getting better.

And certainly the 1%ers and pressure acts are always a joy to watch

The list of small forwards who have been consistently delivering ~40 goals a season from just their second season woudl be a very short piece of paper.

Come to think of it, there would be very few small forwards who reached 100 games at just barely 23yrs old. A testament to the fact he has continued to be dangerous and to make a contribution even when his form has been a bit off.

I'm glad for him that he has put together a really nice run of form ready to celebrate his 100th with seven goals against the Buttersoft Bombers.

100 games for just over 100 goals and one speccy.

His pressure acts are at least 50% running after the full back kicking in which is predictable pressure.

Memorable 1% ers are the block that allowed Tracs" Daicos"  goal in the  grandfinal ..that was elite 1% even if it was about the only thing he did on the day

I'll never understand what motivates someone to go to the bother of trolling people on a footy forum.

Most aberrant behaviour serves some sort of self protective purpose, so i hope you are ok.

Be that as it may, better for my wellbeing if I put you ignore.

See ya.

I find it @IRW kinda funny. The laugh you have that when something is so wrong you end up laughing.

But on a serious level, you are right. I hope he is ok and the people around him are ok too. This behaviour tends to transcend itself beyond the keyboard.

Kozzie is a terrific example of player development and talent recognition.

We drafted him much earlier than his expected position (presumably because we didn't want to miss him).

Then we stuck with him through his first 20 games or so when spent much of the time running around like a headless chook.

Now we have a gun small forward/mid who can perform show stealing miracles and who has another 200 games to go !!!!

I think some underestimate how lucky we are to see a player of his calibre,

The much lauded Cyril Rioli kicked 40 goals twice in eleven years of AFL. Kozzie has done it twice before he was 21.

Last few years  40 goals, 41, 37 and 25 so far this year in 14 games.

He is an outstanding talent that will go down as a melbourne great.

He also seems to have control over any agro of the past. When on song like the lions game , he is worth more than the price of admission.

Excitement machine now pulling in spekkies after a five goal haul.

The ignore function is not only a great means of peace of mind but the most delightful way of having the last word😄.

Kossie has been a great success in his first 99 games and his development into a great team player has been a joy to witness.

For anyone who can, I would love to see statistical comparison at first 100 games mark of he and Cyril Rioli. From my admittedly average memory, I think Kossie might have Cyril covered. He certainly inspires the crowd to expect the unexpected whenever he is near the ball, much the same way Cyril did.

I look forward to many years watching Kossie do what most others can only dream of doing, and isn’t that why we pay our money to witness elite sports-people do their thing. It will be great reward for Kossie if his fantastic abilities can contribute in a major way to a few more flags for him and his team mates.

Continue that journey of reward in your hundredth on Saturday evening Kossie.

Some absolute junk comments.

“100 games for just over 100 goals”? He’s kicked 150 goals in 99 games so ‘just over’ is doing some real heavy lifting there.

Of the top 20 in his draft Koz is:

#1 for games played

#1 for goals, ahead of Cody Weightman on 119.

#2 for goals per game behind Weightman, 1.75 vs 1.52. Georgiades is the only other to average >1 per game.

#4 for tackles behind Rowell, Serong and Tom Green. #5 on tackles per game as Hayden Young sneaks ahead of him.

#1 for goal assists overall and per game.

#2 for marks i50 overall and #3 for mi50 per game.

He’s elite, and he’s going to get better.

150 goals for Kozzi

Averages around 40 a season which is amazing consistency in his first 4-5 seasons

His clearances, inside 50’s and disposals are all up this year

In the top 3 small forwards in the league i reckon

a pleasure to watch

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
