Well that has ruined my weekend 🤬 I keep waiting for their luck to run out but it just doesn’t seem to happen.

This is a Discussion board, does it really matter where comments are made, when the Club is in silent freefall??

Still waiting for your reply to my PM btw

Week after week this garbage just keeps getting smeared in our faces. What's the point in having these rules if they aren't enforced? You see 50m penalties given when the guy on the mark takes 1 step backwards.

Honestly thought that Fisher snap was through, so badly wish it was.

Yes i get what your saying.  Lobb is not a decent target up forward.  Soft as butter.

We have JVR and Fullo as back up & chop outs for Max.

How did you determine Fullo's a bust?  He hasn't played.

Have u watched him at Casey? 10 times softer than Lobb. The latter has been good in recent weeks. Has way more pedigree than Fullarton although that's not saying much. Using JVR in the ruck is detrimental to his forward craft. If you really think the way forward is using those two as back up good luck to you. BTW, Fullarton has done nothing to earn the nickname 'Fullo'.

My son is a very loyal North supporter- goes to every match so I am sad for him. My husband on the other hand, turns the TV off if Collingwood are getting beaten. I bet he will watch the replay now 😡

So if I now start a discussion here about some arcane rule, you'll be happy to discuss it here.

It does matter where comments are made, otherwise why not have a single thread for everything.

Don't worry, with you around there is no danger of a silent free fall.

(Sorry I should have posted this in the 'my club is a disaster and some people can't get enough' thread.)

I may have told you this before but my Pies fan dad does the same thing or doesn't watch live at all but then on the following random Tuesday at midnight he'll watch the replay. It annoys me that he'll have something decent to watch at that time now haha.

In that last quarter, North let the Pies free to do their outside run and overlap game. Hoskin-Elliot, Sidebottom, and others constantly free outside or forward of the ball over and over again. The Roos will be gutted by that loss but the defensive mindset was just not there. On top of that, some decision making brain fades when moving forward, and that horrendous last shot on goal that missed everything = not knowing how to win. The Roos are slowly coming emerging, but I see a lot of the Dees 2015/2016 abut them.

It does my head in. I always sit and watch our matches from start to finish. I even sat through 186 until the bitter end.

I only care about 1 Club. sorry if that bothers you

Todays game was very relevant for that reason

Roos were out on their feet from early in that last qtr. As much as I hate Collingwood, I really envy their spirit. That was a very impressive comeback with so many stars out. But geez the umps got them over the line in the end. That non-50 was criminal.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
