Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

We just got spanked by half a Collingwood team... Let that sink in.

With nigh on our whole squad to choose from.

That was just more rubbish.

Zero confidence. Zero intensity. Zero clue.

Deplorable skills. We are playing like a bunch of drunks. I can’t believe how far our form has plummeted in the space of 6 weeks or so. There is something rotten in the club. There’s no demon spirit anymore.

Goody survived one near death experience. He won’t survive another. He needs to sort this out and fast otherwise he’ll be in the jobs market come seasons end.

If the issue with the club over the last couple of seasons has been inaccuracy and scoring efficiency today was the day where it became completely unavoidable that both the skills coach and forward line coach have to go.

I expect significant off field changes before next year. We continue to under deliver forward of the ball.

In less than a month we get smashed by the former worst team in the comp, get smashed by the most fickle side in the comp, get smashed by the most undermanned side in the comp and next game against another former worst team in the comp. I think we will win that one.

Drafting high-contest vs high-skill players got us a premiership, but is coming back to hurt us.

Scoreboard might not look as bad as last week but that was worse. Should have been a statement game. Interesting press conference coming up. Have your Press Conference Bingo Cards ready.

Inaccurate has nothing to do with it.

Our shots are from the pockets. Collingwood kicks theirs from direcrly in front. We have a shot directly in front from 50 and hit a target on the pocket. Daicos slots his from 55 out directly in front.

This is 100%, undoubtedly, unequivocally structural. This is a coaching decision. It's how we played in 2021. It's how we're playing now.

We have a 60 goal forward in Fritsch who consistently can't get into games.

We consistently kick to spare defenders.

We are poorly coached.

From the ground, there was plenty of want and intensity, particularly early. All the indicators said we should have been much closer at half time - on top in clearance and contested possession. The simple fact is they converted all of their chances (and most of their half chances) and we didn’t.

Pack your bags Simon, you're done..

While you're at it take Richo, Pert, Roffey, Chaplin, Williams, Stafford  and Tim Lamb with you on the way out.

I'm trying to think whether getting beaten by a Collingwood team with 11 of its first choice players out is worse than being beaten by an Essendon VFL side like we were a few years back.

This club has no heart.

The can take their pay checks and far8off for all I care

Now that was unacceptable.

Great fightback MFC.

You can go to Adelaide now Petty.

When will Goody drop him?

Never

I feel sick. I feel embarrassed that we turned up like that after Freo. And I feel like I'm losing my mind seeing so many people be optimsitic and suggest goal kicking was the difference today.

Bizarre that after last week's smashing we go with the same Petty and Turner forward set up.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
