Windsor? Rated 40th out of 46 players. Ten disposals. Donโ€™t get me wrong, I love him, but letโ€™s be realistic.ย

To be honest I didn't want to give more votes after my top 3, so take them with a grain of salt.

6. Gawn

5. Chandler

4. Rivers

3. Langdon

2. McDonald

1. Viney

6 Gawn - our only clear winner.

5 Rivers - a very good first half

4 Chandler - the only player up forward that looked dangerous.

3 T.Mac / solid game down back mainly on Gardiner. Should have been sent forward and swapped with Petty at halftime but the coach was also in bye mode.

2 Langdon - ran hard all night.

1 Viney - beaten badly in the first half like all our midfielders but came out after half time and provided a gutsy spark.

ย

6. Gawn - did everything

ย

thatโ€™s about it for tonight although lingers is stiff to not get any votes from meย

I'm tempted to give Salem six for escaping the slaughter, but here goes on a night to forget:

6 Gawn - the leader no one followed.

5 Lever - worked overtime under constant pressure due to non-existent midfield.

4 McDonald - slow but reliable.

3 Chandler - worked hard throughout.

2 Rivers - good in bursts.

1 Langdon - often had to lend a hand in defence.

6: Max Gawn
sorry but thatโ€™s it!

Really bad night.

I thought these were the Top 4ย  ย  after thatย  ย they should pay us money for watching tripe.ย  Though JVR, Fritta and BBB at least kept playing in the 4th.ย  ย I think we needed the break, we were always just a touch of pace , behind them and not up with the ball.ย  Just disa ppointed

Easy selection tonightย

Max Gawn - ย 6 votesย

apologies to Sparrow Windsor and McVee who triedย

first time that Trac, JV7 or Clarry are not in the votes. They were horrible tonight and completely annihilated by Lions mids.ย

Very poor ย - BBB, JVR, Fritta, Pettyย

our midfield was the poorest that I can remember for some time, they all need a spell.

6 - Gawn
5 - TMac
4 - Lever
3 - Rivers
2 - Langdon
1 - May

TMac should be in everyone's votes. I thought he was really, really good tonight.

The backs (TMac, Lever, Rivers, May) deserve credit and I hope internally the club is applauding their efforts. With the amount of time the ball spent in our defensive half, most other sides would have conceded far more than 22 scoring shots.

6.Gawn by a mile

thenย

5. Rivers

4. Tom Mac

3. Lever

2. Langdon

1. May

Our defence did a superb job given the non-existent performance of our midfield (Gawn aside).

6-McDonald - the only player who comprehensively won his positionย

On ballers have a night they would want to forget. Never seen Clarry Trac and Viney all stink simultaneouslyย

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: โ€œIs Melbourne even at the ground?โ€ Moments later, as Carltonโ€™s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demonsโ€™ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.ย
