Great effort by the boys tonight. Up against a team with extra players, short break, banged up and a playing in front of a hostile crowd. Great to get the win and now have a little extra rest before we are back at home!

Spot on.

The win of a professional unit.

With Bb it was somewhat of a delivery issue.

Oliver was tagged and obviously playing with one hand. Not an easy thing.

Brown subbed off in the last.
Clarry with a busted hand doing his best

I figured Clarry was either tagged or struggling with the hand but was worried I'd missed a new injury or something.

I'm guessing Brown struggled on the 5-day break too.

I guess the good news in that is that Oliver's had less influence than normal and we've won on the road on a 5-day break, and Brown's failed to hit the scoreboard at all but we've generated 28 scoring shots.

Crows have a few good players but we have more.

How good is Windsor?
Blown away by his poise, footy IQ, and ability to win the contest. 10/10 drafting again.

Good win. No need to critique, save our best footy for later in the year.

It was a very professional win, so impressed with this side. Our senior players lead by example, our young players are exceptional. Max, May, Petracca all huge. Windsor, Howes, McVee, Sparrow, JVR, Koz so composed.

Also, umpires BOG for the crows

The umpiring was woeful.

So proud of the team getting the job done across these two games in Adelaide. Ferocious performance against Port, outclassed Adelaide despite clear fatigue.

I'm delighted we've got to here 4-1.  We look so united onfield and in the rooms post-game. Compare that to the shenanigans befalling Brisbane, etc.

How funny is Adelaide booing Lever.

They still boo Dangerfield 🤣

Demons 4, Adelaide Umpires 0.

Not to forget Bryan Taylor’s  unbelievable biased (barracking) commentary. [censored]!

I don’t understand why but my football tipping is really holding up this year

I'm loving what Clarry is doing at the moment, he's clearly nowhere near his best, getting a lot of attention but he's battling his [censored] off and playing a team role when it's needed! what i absolutely love is i think previously Clarry would have gotten frustrated and given away stupid free kicks when he's not flying, but now he just seems to want to help the team win.

he's had a very hard time clearly and not helped himself but geez it's good to see the redemption arc that's playing out in 2024

Loved how we came out in the third, knowing that we’d inevitably tire in the fourth.

Thats a big tick for identifying and maximising our best chance of winning by both the coaches and players.

Sparrow played 98% Midfield and 2% forward tonight. Rounds 0-3 he was 46% midfield.

A very solid game by Tommy tonight.

Absolutely. I totally wrote him off at the start of the year, he is looking so bloody solid.

looks to have some pace.....in a straight line

The only real negative for tonight is  Kozzie’s likely suspension. We really need him next week. Not a lot in it, but enough in today’s game and completely avoidable and unnecessary.

Bit lucky to survive the first and last quarter blitz from the Crows but dominated the 2nd and 3rd quarter and did enough in the last.

All things considered a big tick with the ball movement game very strong covering for a stoppage game that wasn’t near our best.

Room for improvements: Billings sub par contested work, Fritter having a stinker of a half, Petty’s goal kicking, naughty Kozzie, a little more steadiness down back late from Lever and co and a few too many senior players risking corridor turnovers at half forward in the last not ideal.

Plenty to work on but the plan is looking much improvement and the energy is excellent.

Win wasn’t flattering, but to come away 4-1 with 2 wins in Adelaide is outstanding.

I said I would be happy to be 3-2 after this round so this is a great position to be in.

Win next week heading into the bye and the lids off.

A great couple of wins. Another happy start to a weekend. Professional approach by this group has a good feel to it.

umpiring … seriously!

Kozzie will 100% get one week minimum, we are not Collingwood.

With Petty and Billings off kicking and some very poor umpiring we would have won by fifty.

But we've come to expect dodgy umpires over there.

They should go and read up the rule book especially HTB.

Two not so positive aspects. What's happened to JvR's marking? Hard hands tonight. Had the chance to mark four or five times 20 to 30 out. Bounced off his hands.

And Billings. Not convinced he likes the heat of battle and kicking was abysmal.

McVee supurb, Windsor keeps on going...

Our mids get cooked two weeks straight is a concern

Gotta say I was really doubtful Howes was ready but he is really performing way beyond my expectations

Great work Blake and keep up the good work

McVee, Howes and Windsor 3 very impressive young players

Dustall also post game said he was worried the game was going to blow out, hardly objective.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
