should be a very good game

I’d be happy to leave with the four points, not wet to the bone and not crying and not copping abuse from the feral Port fans. Not a big ask. 🤷‍♀️

GO THE MIGHTY DEMONS!!!!

❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

We've won two against no one special .

Today ( and next week )will give us a real clue as to where we stand this season.

Are we any good?  [censored] yes we are !

Dees by 27 ! This will include a blinder from Jack Viney and four goals from Kozzie.

The Manorial staff all have rather fetching red and blue Bunny outfits for tonight's celebratory after party.

Does anyone know our recent record without May in the side?  I have a mate who always tells me "No May no Melbourne" and has loaded up on Port.  I want to know if there's any truth to it.

What’s tonight’s banner like WCW, I don’t hear you ask. 😁

Sneak peek but don’t tell anyone…

JACK VINEY

200 GAMES

SIMPLY UNSTOPPABLE

Now if you’ll excuse me, those coffees and Red Bulls ain’t gonna drink themselves…

YEAH THE DEES!

Us by a goal after the siren, kicked by Chinny Chin Chandler!

I’ve never been to a Power game at Adelaide oval but have a couple of mates who reckon their supporters at home games are the worst in the league. Are there any worse you’ve encountered WCW?

Kozzie loves playing in Adelaide

Viney bog

In Torquay but will hopefully be back in Melb for the start and a good TV screen. Go Dees.

We've banked a couple of regulation wins against ordinary sides which has built confidence and momentum. Port are a step up and will provide a proper examination.

Curtailing butters and rozee is half the battle. Can't give them the freedom of Adelaide Oval this year. If we do we'll pay.

Viney is a champion. He'll put in a big shift on his 200th. Max trac clarry to the fore also. win the midfield battle and limit the amount of ball into our Mayless defence should be the go.

I'm confident as always.

Dees by 20 points

VINEY.    Win it well for Jack  200 what a champion. !!

I believe it's something like 4 - 7 or roughly 37% of games

Same or very similar when both Lever & May are out

When he's in, no surprise it's a big turnaround but i can't recall the exact number that was put up.  If my memory serves me correct it was somewhere between 70% - 80% but don't hold me to it.

We need to start looking for a serious replacement pronto.

I'd be taking a good look at Sam Collins from the Suns if we can prise him out (signed to 2025) but he's not a young fella either so still need a medium term replacement.

Adams was recruited as such so fingers crossed there and hopefully he will come on in the next few seasons at Casey.

All this depressing stuff in the papers AGAIN!!! Please, come out tonight and show the world how good we are!!

Torquay might be a bit  backward.  But surely they have good TV reception  no need to drive to town to see the Dee’s

Without May:

2021 - we beat Hawthorn and Adelaide both at the G but they were bottom 6 sides.

2022 - Lost to Sydney and Collingwood both at the G who were top shelf sides that year.

2023 - beat Dogs at the MCG but lost to Brisbane at the GABBA in the first two rounds.

It’s arguably not good.

Nervous and excited about this game

Port are better than Hawks and dogs.

A real challenge game on an away ground.

We are good enough but will we?

Yes we bloody will.

Dees by 23.

In a word… NO.

Sure, Collingwood and Carlton and Essendon supporters are bad, but that’s in Melbourne which makes a huge difference. Port supporters are next level feral when you’re on their turf. They have zero qualms about letting you know how [censored] they think your team is… loudly.

LOL… was just chatting to a Dees supporter who was on my flight. As we parted ways he said, “I’ll see you in the trenches.” 😑

Kozzie deep forward when not played through the middle please Goody.

It’s quite a big ask, but we’re up for the task …… for Jack!

Dees by 11 pts.  ❤️💙

Game day baby. Pumped!

Would love to see Kozzie have a huge game against Port.

Go Dees!!!

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?
