Another big bodied competitive beast..oh  wait!

No that would be our next pick Tholstrup. Windsor will help with speed of ball movement, connection and most importantly efficiency between our mids and forwards which has been an issue for years and is a big reason why we have gone out in straight sets in final’s two years on a row. Can also score a goal himself. Also provides a lot of chase down tackles which would indicate a competitive nature. Our team is all inside and not much outside., let alone guys that can hit a target by foot.Glad we have addressed this personally getting in Billings and now Windsor. Welcome to the club Caleb.

Josh Kelly anyone?

Oliver wasn't expected to be a high pick either. GWS must have rated Curtin so high that they literally traded out to get away from him.

Windsor was best player available, If we went needs we would've gone a key forward or key back.

GWS would've taken Windsor after us. He was highly rated.

From the outside its impossible to tell who is a reach or not.

A lot of people had Curtain as a top 5 pick, Leake as a top 10 pick, Darcy WIlson as a borderline top 10 pick.  No one had Gothard as low as 10.  Tholstrop similarly was considered in the mid teens.

It looks like Windsor, Gothard and Tholstrop were higher up clubs' draft boards than expected. And not just by Melbourne - sounds like if we hadn't picked Windsor, GWS would have at 8, or somone in that 9-12 range.  Same with Tholstrop - was apparently in the mix at Essendon's pick and would have been taken by St Kilda after us.  Gothard too had interest from St Kilda, Sydney and GWS.

Is it just me or is there a hint of the great man himself R Flower.

Obviously, a big call but the way he handballs and moves reminds me of a young Robbie. We can only dream.

Don't know why but thought the same.

I think I'm dreaming...

Seems to have a nice low ball drop which is often a sign of good kickers.

Tracc could learn something!

In his highlights the two left-handed handballs in traffic are almost exactly the way Robbie handballed - we can dream

We have gone totally for needs. We have some talls and Jefferson to add in time.

Windsor brings us a total outside running machine on the Lingers style up and back but is more highly skilled and will kick more goals.

Kolt is an X factor half forward and potential mid who will excite fans and annoy and embarrass the opposition. Total fan favourite with a swagger and style. Let the MCC members get out of their seats once this dynamo gets among the big boys on the G.

Both are 185cm plus but seem taller in their highlights. Neither will take a backward step it looks like from their tapes either.

Bring them on as excitement machines to end our mundane forward thrusts.

Well done again JT.

Thought exactly the same thing. Both hold the ball well in front of them when handballing with their left. And both seem to glide across the ground.

Looks to have a nice turn of speed and smart delivery but I don't think he's got enough class to warrant being selected in the top 10.

Depends what you call class and Caleb’s got it. Smooth running long kick goal scoring and great link man on the wing.
I’ll back JT’s judgement against yours Danny any day or night at the G!

At the end of the day when you have someone like JT calling the shots you back him in with any 'reach' picks.

Exactly Oliver and Jackson where reaches at the time. We have one of the best in the business leading a team following these kids from around 14 for 3 years . They know way more about them than any pundit on the radio or tv or forum

I would say every poster on here would back JT over any other poster.
We can still all have opinions and be civil about it. No need to be shoot down other posters for the sake of it.
By the way every form guide that was published during the season agreed with Danny.

So would I! He's a gun recruiter.

I just saw the new highlights package on melbournefc.com.au in which he looked stronger in the contest than the reel I saw prior on AFL.com.au.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
