So it just depends on how you look at it, we were top 4 after the regular season finished, but finished 6th after finals. So technically both are right, just depends how you look at it. If you want to take the glass half full approach, we finished in the second-best position available to the top six (after H&A) after finals. Collingwood finished in the best position because they won the flag. For everyone else, second to sixth is meaningless except for the draft position you end up with. Ergo, if you can't be Premier, be sixth. 1 Quote

Kev 10,926 Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Koltyn looks alot like Gary Hocking, and with a similar body shape, (was a champion for Geelong in the 1990's, a tough and skilled player). Hoping he can have a similar career, with us. I've attached a photo of Hocking 1 1 Quote

Agree DS but I don’t think he’s rough around the edges at all. Seems like a level headed respectful young man to me. Like everyone I’ve really warmed to him and am hoping for a long and successful career. 6 1 1 Quote

Reminds me a lot of Dyson Heppell, who (not withstanding a few faults) has been a very well respected captain despite a terrible haircut when he came in to the system. Chop the mop and he’s actually a bright and well spoken country lad. And given he’s a footballer he may as well have a mop of hair if he wants to! 3 Quote
kozzyisalegend 152 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Koltyn has a massive chance of being nominated for rising star this week highest supercoach and fantasy score of any rising star legible player not nominated yet 3 Quote
Dee Boys 934 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Enjoyed Kolt’s game today. And also enjoyed, for those who weren’t at the ground to hear it, him proclaiming in an interview with Robbo at the end that he’s “loving the city and the club and won’t ever go anywhere”. 10 8 Quote
jane02 3,795 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I love the way he goes in hard and never shirks a contest. Also love that he has a bit of mongrel in him. It’s going to be enjoyable for us supporters to watch him develop. The sky is the limit. 10 1 Quote
Swooper1987 3,322 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 He played a terrific game today. Great attack on the ball and the man. Reminded me of Colin Sylvia at his best - aggressive and explosive. The sort of guy you'd love to play alongside. He'll only get better the more exposure he gets. 11 1 Quote
DeeZone 10,594 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 The Kolt was certainly up and about today got us started and I didn’t see him waste a disposal, excellent mark and short kick, loves a bit of rough and tumble. 4 Quote
dees189227 12,515 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 His 1st quarter was really good especially when he kicked his first afl goal then backed it up. Just keep him in the team now 6 1 Quote
dazzledavey36 56,346 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 The kid is an animal. A campaigner that will be the first to bat for teammates and another that opposition supporters will hate. My type of player. 10 1 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,458 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Players like Colt could thrive in Pressure games. You can tell he loves it. that first quarter should give hime massive confidence at AFL level 2 1 Quote
PaulRB 6,435 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 (edited) With the mane, agro, talent and strut he’s got a bit Dermott Brereton about him. Hated Dermott as an opposition player, would have loved him in Red and Blue (although that make me vomit a little). Anyway, lots to like about the way the Kolt has started his career.
