Looks like a nice young man with an excellent head of hair....are you suggesting him as a back up for Fritta?

Good to have another Tom on board.

Should be a handy ruck/forward with a basketball background.  Should challenge Gawn next year.

Pretty much this.

I understand your point, but this is a free hit. We aren’t using this pick in the draft anyways so who cares.

Yeah.  Didn't cost much.  Worth a punt

Geez, what a warm welcome.

Classic Demonland

🙄

Melbourne's media department is seriously amateur.

They posted an Instagram story of a screenshot of their browser... without cropping out the browser.

No, they made it deliberately look like a browser 😂

It's a whole graphic theme they're doing for trade week... pretending to sit at Lamb's desk

I didn't say it was good 😂

My fave detail is that the stats bars don't make sense but they're in red and blue

Please tell me who our backup ruck is if Gawn gets injured? Schache?

Surprised that anyone watched enough Brisbane VFL to have a strong opinion.

I like that he kicked some bags. Good athlete. Disposal numbers seem really solid given he didn’t get to ruck much with the Lions so often picking 2 other rucks in their VFL side.

I look at the growth in Joel Smith this year as someone with stuff all forward experience but with run and jump in his legs. If Fullarton can provide something similar he can contribute.

Welcome to this madhouse, Tom.

You are now a Demon - you will get my full support though I have no idea myself how good a player you are.  Someone in our usually spot on recruiting department thinks you are worth a list spot.  That will do me at lest for now.

I will remain open minded and hope others will too.

Thanks mono I also promise that I will firstly thank Tom for choosing MFC as his destination club and also will encourage him to take a leaf out of Michael Hibberd’s legacy of always trying to find a way. Great size, athletic, former captain of the Australian U16 basketball team, kicked 6 goals against Bombers VFL team this year, there is a lot to like about the kid. Give it your best best shot Tom and you just might surprise a lot of people.!!!

He’s got a great opportunity with his ability to ruck to play in the team.

He looks a likely sort and I do prefer this notion of recruiting 24 year old 2m player and not teenagers.

Yep, at that size he is at least 1-2 years away from peaking

And if he hits - he keeps JVR from rucking.

A very warm welcome, Tom Fullarton, to MFC ☺️

With summer just around the corner, I’m sure you’ll feel right at home here. I’m aware of your impressive basketball background, and I can’t wait to see you in action for the Dees on the footy field. As a talented young man, I have no doubt you have a bright future ahead of you!

Relative information:

Tom Fullarton   24yo, 2.00m tall, 92 kg. A shooting guard. He was the captain of the Australia 2016 under-17 basketball world cup squad.

Luke Jeckson   22yo, 2.00m tall, 100 kg. A center or a power forward. He was a member of the Australia 2018 under-17 basketball world cup squad.

Christian Petracca   27yo, 1.86m tall, 96 kg. A small forward(?). He was a member of the Australia 2012 under-17 basketball world cup squad.

Lol his disposals numbers and the amount of goals kicked at VFL level is identical to Josh Schache's year in his 2022 VFL season.

Having watched enough VFL of Brisbane this year and some of his previous AFL games it's no wonder Brisbane fans are happy to show pack his bags for him.

so why give the shack another year absolute waste of time

All the negative comments here are surprising. It’s not like a club could use a mid-40s pick to get an All Australian ruck man or anything.

Regardless, welcome to the jungle, Tom!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
