What can you do but vomit?

It's going to get worse. I'd suggest another oseas sojourn.

I'm hoping he cops a bake for that dumb 50. Cost them a goal

Berry should not play again.

two 50’s for no reason

That second one was milked by Sidebottom.

Great game of footy - both teams with some great skills. Lots of pressure, moment by moment plays won by both teams. Not sure about the Norm Smith medal because no player dominated the game, but if N Daicos gets it I will know their is a "city hall" conspiracy. Probably Bobbie Hill.

I hate it that the Pies won - makes me ill. I am actually quite happy for most teams to take their moment in the sun and win when they have been dominant, but all the dripping shmooze about the Pies is nauseating.

That advantage call will go down in infamy. 100% wrong call by an experienced umpire.

The AFL rules committee and umpires have to look at high tackles awarded to players dropping their knees. I counted 6 today that were awarded when the umps had clear vision of the contact. Not good enough. And I am counting players like Kozzie and Spargo, not just Collingwood players because I hate the club and the jumper. All contact above the shoulders should be a free kick, even the slightest contact, but NOT if a player causes it.

There’s no justice in footy

Yep, none whatsoever. The thugs of the comp are rewarded. The fair teams are penalised. The team who threatens the AFL with the Supreme Court should they make a good case against Maynard (or appeal the outcome which went their way), gets what they demand. The AFL will kowtow to Collingwood forevermore. Yet again, a bully wins.

That could have been us.

I have watched the 2021 finals replay over the last 3 days.I watched the gf today and only saw the 2nd 1/2 of the 2023 gf today with the commentary turned down.Cheer up by re-watching our premiership win - and bring on 2024.

A triumph for the gormless and the toothless.

Didn’t play tough at all. Zorko squibbed badly. J Berry was awful.

so some silver lining at least.

I really hope the story of that game is the advantage interpretation.

There’s absolutely no justification for how that was to the Lions advantage. That was a pure, out and out, mistake by the umpire.

Collingwood winning their 16th Premiership.....

How horrible.....

I think I am going to vomit! 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Lots of grey areas in the rules that need to be fixed.

Did not help the result today.

Im for the night GF after trying to watch on TV

This would be the worst month ive experienced watching footy. Its worse than 1977 to 83 era.

Collingwood are mongrels but their luck is mind boggling.

Im sending an email to MFC later.

We have got to stop being Mr Niceguy. Shut down BBrowns children events and other related photo ops. Shutdown Alice Springs  Pickett or no Pickett.

If you want to be social workers then quit footy.

Sick of this.

Take a close look at the Filth

Theyre Premiers and the media will rub it in our faces with a large pic of Maynard holding up the cup.

Turnovers

Match Collingwood      49

Match Brisbane             60

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Gil you absolute [censored] sucking garbage administrator. And take your ****ty umpiring, MRO and ARC with you.

Dillon will be no better. He’s just McLachlin version 2.0

I would have preferred a pies loss but I don’t really feel sorry for the lions.

I'm in Dromana now and am thinking of texting the boss to see if I can work from home down here for a month...

Really wanted the pies to lose, but must admit they seem an incredibly well coached side.

Hooe Kozzie Pickett was watching Bobby Hill today.

Unbelievable performance.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
