Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job

This worries me as I hold great store in the fact that Yze was working in strategy with Clarkson in the great years.  Hawks weren't necessarily the best teams but got the job done winning flags. Many contributed but Yze would have benn a key component to Clarko.

I was wrapped for this reason when he came to us, (as well as being a Dees hero in playing days), and it helped us in 21 big time.

Thus he's not easily replaced.

I'll be thrilled for him nevertheless if he succeeds in winning the Tiges job.

Who comes in to replace him will require much thought and not just knee jerk to identify known ex-coaches.

Goody is a flag coach, he/we don't need star power added just for the sake of it.

Seriously, who would coach us if he departs, Buckley would be a great get if he wishes to become reinvolved.

Ummm Goodwin?

If you mean who will coach our midfield, we can go after Dew, Ratten etc.

Buckley is never leaving his cushy media gig

Surely Yze takes over at Melbourne in 2027?

I have no doubt that Goodwin is all-in as a senior coach but I also think he's a sane and reasonable person, and I can't imagine any sane and reasonable person wanting to be a senior AFL coach for more than ten consecutive years.

I think we need to be well and truly prepared for Yze to leave, because if he doesn’t get the Richmond job, he’ll probably get the Bulldogs job.

Although, they’re even more likely to shift themselves in the foot with a Giansiracusa selection.

I love the Oooze and wish him all the best, but nah,    I want him to stay with us and become our next senior coach in a few years.

Goodwin has travelled through a river a [censored] to hopefully enjoy the last three years and the next three years - why he is he moving on after 10 years, to allow Yze to coach?

I just don’t see any other coach this decade.

Your views re long term Senior Coaching are not necessarily Simons or any D/Landers Just because you think it's time for a change in 2027 it's not going to be the time.

Personally I believe Mick Stinnear  would bê the best person to coach the Dees next.
Ooze can replace Greg Stafford next year and see how he can improve the Forward line if he doesn't get the Tigers otr any other job.

There has to  be a change in our Forward Coach ASAP and Simon must alter his defensive tactics ifwe are to win the Flags that our ability is capable of.

2 minutes ago, whatwhat say what said:

why? it's not our forwards bombing it in to no one in particular i50...

Are you so just thinking it's not both our connectors passing plus our forwards stagnation snd lack of separation plus the ridiculous tactics of kicking to a pack of defenders and forwards. Talk snout self inflicted Coach Killers.

any how it's not working so change the tune and get cracking,

this is basically incomprehensible

i think it's a whole-of-approach thing - blaming goodwin or stafford or yze in isolation isn't offering a solution

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
