I'm tipping a loss against Richmond, and the resting of a couple of players.

If it eventuates.

What reaction will we get from the pessimists? What reaction will we get from the optimists? And what does it mean for our season?

I choose to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong, rather ย than a pessimist who is always right. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Don't forget to leave us a 5 Star Review on Apple Podcasts and write a review and we'll read it out on the show.

I just want to make mention that last night was our 200th Demonland Podcast.

Weโ€™ve covered almost every single game since Round 1 2017. The 200 episodes includes almost all of the games since and any of the standalone interviews weโ€™ve done with Players, Coaches & Officials Past and Present. We were there for our return to the final series after a 12 year absence, we were there for our drought breaking premiership and hopefully weโ€™ll be here for the next one.

I just want to thank a few people who have been a big part of the podcast over the 200 episodes. My Co-Hosts, @Grapeviney, @Whispering_Jack, @Supermercado and of course @george_on_the_outer and @binman

These guys rock up every single week, win, lose or draw, luckily we win more often than not these days. These guys donโ€™t get paid to do this, with the exception of some Best and Fairest tickets I occasionally throw their way. They do it for the love of Demonland and for the love of talking about this great club that we all support and barrack for.

So a big thank you to my co-hosts. Without them there is no show because Iโ€™m not as analytical about the game as they are. My emotions get in the way of any of that. Theyโ€™ve taught me that โ€œJust kick the bloody thingโ€ isnโ€™t a sound tactic even though I still yell "kick the bloody thing" all game. I hope our listeners have learned a thing or two from the podcast over the 200 episodes because I sure have. So thank you boys.

I also want to thank all the Demonlanders and listeners that have contributed to the podcast in the form of questions, comments, feedback, reviews, calls and voicemails. All those contributions are a massive part of the show so thank you.

I wish I could name you all but there simply isnโ€™t time. I hope that the shoutouts I give you on the podcast each week is enough thanks for your generous contribution of content.

And thank you to you the listener. Without an audience weโ€™re just speaking into a microphone recorded on a computer. So thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy what we produce each week.

Hereโ€™s to another 200 plus episodes. Hopefully we can all celebrate another flag or more along the way. Go Demons.

We really need Binman's recommendation for quality binoculars. Maybe a product review segmentย ๐Ÿ˜œ

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
