  1. How good was Judd "Silky" McVee's first quarter? 7 intercept possessions in that quarter alone and 10 for the match. Thought he did a good job on Rankine. Do you think he'll get the gig on Charlie Cameron this week?
  2. Another excellent podcast. Thank you for answering my question.
  3. JVR is providing Max with a good chop out. Not too concerned about young Roo. Key position players take longer. His numbers are tracking well compared to similar players at the same age. Heard others on here roll out those stats but don't have them on hand.
  4. Almost have to play May if Hore is out with sore ribs.
  5. How huge was Max on Saturday night? 50 Hitouts and that monster goal on the 3/4 time siren is just massive. How lucky are we to have such an influential leader. Not getting into the whole Grundy trade in and out as I was bullish about bringing him in to assist Max and perhaps extend Max's career by giving him a chop out. That's all water under the bridge but Max is so much better as the solo ruck.
  6. Lol at Geelong. He's not going anywhere.
  7. TMac and Hore were great inclusions. Everyone is worried about TMac's disposal but with the exception of one howler which he should have just hoofed it I thought his disposal was pinpoint. He knows when to spoil and he has a great pair of hands and knows when to clunk them. I reckon he is a better option than Tomlinson who I thought was stiff to be dropped. Hore was a very adequate replacement for Bowey and was solid. How did you guys think the backline functioned given that we made two changes to players who haven't played a lot of footy in this backline?
  8. I wouldn't mind see what Tholstrup can do. Perhaps a straight swap with Woey. Other than that no change. Give Petty another week to find his feet in the twos.
  9. 6. Oliver 5. May 4. Gawn 3. Billings 2. McDonald 1. Chandler
  10. Let's not bury the lede here. Is Clarry getting selected to play in the Opening Round match against the Swans? It's time to fully welcome him back into the fold.
  11. I understand that Jefferson has had an interrupted/modified preseason but from all reports he has integrated back into the main group over the last few sessions. I'd like to see him get plenty of forward minutes in these games against the better opposition defenders to see what he has to offer. With injuries to BBB, TMac, Petty & Fullarton the pin might need to be pulled on him earlier than we might have liked. Let's see what he can do.
  12. Felt a bit empty after that win but happy to take home the important 4 points. I don't want to even contemplate the negatives from the game yet and I'm sure you'll cover them so I'll go with the positives. Small forwards hit the scoreboard. Chandler 3 and Kozzy 2. Feel like Chin is way ahead of Spargo. Love the Podcast boys. Keep up the great work.
  13. Our leaders were huge in the last and dragged us over the line. Gawn was back to being Gawn, Melky was clutch and our Bulls in Viney and Petracca had massive impact. Getting lost in all the emotion of the incredible victory is the work of Gus. I thought he was excellent and was involved heavily in some important stoppages. He has been impactful since his return to the midfield in the absence of Clayton Oliver and back to playing some of his best footy in 2023 after a quiet and unmemorable start to the season. He was great on the wing in 2021, he was superb in defence in 2022. When Clarry inevitably returns where do you see Gus playing and what is his best role for the club going forward. Sorry for the long question. Love the podcast.
