Weather forecast please?

We will smash them.

Keep Toby Greene quiet (either tight defending or restrict supply) we will win the game.

And kick straight. Can we please just kick straight.

We flick the switch or our lights go out?! 😂

Whoo hoo at last it's game day.

Obviously quite excited about this one because I think we will win.

Suffice to say we can't afford to lose it.

Dees by thirty points.

Tx. I think I'd prefer dry conditions though. I thought it had a dry climate.

This is giving me a migraine.

Let's hope we remove gws chances like a Starc delivery.

It's very cold by Alice Springs standards. Yesterday was the coldest maximum June temperature recorded ever recorded there, reaching the lofty heights of 7.4 degrees and eclipsing the previous record of 7.7 degrees set in 1956 🥶

Except it was July yesterday 🤣, so not as interesting, not the coldest but [censored] cold nonetheless.

We won a flag in 56, hopefully a good omen!

So it was coldly cold!

Yes [coldly] cold picket...I can't comprehend the censoring on DL at times 😉

Well , I don't want to upset the Alice Springs tourism people but I can confirm, it's a miserable grey drizzly morning.

And ... on that note ..... I'm heading off to find a decent bistro with the intention of consuming a huge breakfast.

Dees by 27 points !

Just win Dees!  My optimism has waned following the Geelong capitulation, and I’m feeling distinctly uneasy about this.

Why not. Sounds like someone's been telling porkies about the weather up there. Speaking of pork , have some bacon for me. Stick it to our cardiologists.

Porkies?

Really?

Keen for a solid dees win followed by a 2nd test win for the Aussies. How good is sport

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
