Our handballing in close is being read too easily (happening for 3 weeks now) by opposition. Intercepted over and over again. If not this, our handball target is consistently the wrong option or at the wrong time.

Goody needs to tear strips off em at 1/2 time. Coaches also need a rocket, starting with Yze and Chaplin.

We look like we don’t want to be playing today. Do something Jack.

This will be a good test to see if we can lift in the second half. Leaders need to lead

Spargo called for it then fell over.

hes not much taller standing up, was a lazy option but he had little else

Unless something changes we aren’t winning today bombers just doing the same thing over and over

Spargo, Chandler & Kozzy all having the same mare

Essendons nailing every tackle today. They are getting free and hitting there targets.

We are bombing it, overturning it and can't get a goal.

Jumped on it and dragged it in ..... Just dumb.

We’ve set up our entire game around our stars playing well and when they’re either injured or down on form our lesser likes struggle. Same as last year.

Backline in complete disarray without Lever

Petty's been absolutely shizen so far

I am now counting handball errors. 2 in 30 seconds so far.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
