He plays VFL until he performs consistently and a spot opens up.

Hopefully that doesn't happen because we look far better without him in our side imo.

Jordon was what we needed today, goes again for sure.

No. It's hard enough to find someone to drop for Kozi and Harmes aint no Kosi.

He'll be called upon again soon as there will be an opposition he's suited to but this midfield is choca block right now and he's going to have to work to get back in there.

Not a big fan of the Weagles (2018 still rankles me), but do feel for them to have such significant outs.

Yeah you want to beat their best side, not a cobbled together seconds, which is probably what it will be.  You can dislike the club (as I do) but no one takes any pleasure in seeing these blokes who give their all get injured.

Who played half back in round 1 and 2? Lever CHB and May FB. Bowey and Gus and Rivers will play the half back flanker roles along with McVee.
West Coast are hot garbage. If we don’t win by 10 goals we’ve lost.

Petty and Tomlison, replaced today with Hibbo and May. We've had 7 defenders in every game, we can't pick 6 and just go with she'll be right.

Rest Brown for next week. Bring Kosi in. If Hibberd is injured then don't play him but I thaught he was a good player today.

I saw enough blood baths at subi to last a lifetime. I'd love to see us absolutely humiliate them on their home deck.

Barring unknown injuries or suspensions, I imagine there's one change coming and it's Pickett for someone. I see a few options for how we might approach this.

The first is Brown, given we went on a scoring rampage when he was subbed off and given he may be a bit sore. Whilst it can work, the risk is we'll be going into a game with Petty and JVR as the two tall forwards, with a combined 3 games' experience of being forwards at AFL level. I personally didn't think Petty was fantastic today and I don't think we can go into a game with just those two as forwards, particularly when one has to relief ruck.

So if we want to keep Brown in for balance, we can either swap out a mid/forward type player, or a defensive player. Whilst Hibberd or Bowey perhaps weren't our absolute best today, moving out a defender throws the balance out as well, unless we send Petty back into the backline.

Otherwise it's a mid/forward. But I don't think any of them were poor enough to be dropped. I thought Sparrow's centre clearance work in the second half helped us get back on top. I think Spargo and ANB are playing their roles just how the coaches want them, and they are criminally underrated on here. I think Chandler's doing enough in his role and we're not dropping Fritsch. Meanwhile I thought Jordon's game was great and though it could have been a coincidence, maybe his rotations with Langdon/Hunter helped them both play well.

A hard call, but I expect it to be Chandler or a defender (Bowey, McVee or Hibberd).

We don't drop anyone or go easy on any team. They get a sniff you know what happens.

Niggles or injured we rest them subject to horses for courses.

This year in a tight year percentage could mean the difference between first or fourth.

Hibberd really stiffens up our full back area, tuff nut and at the same time McVee is learning fast.

You can’t drop Judd after his first 3 weeks of excellent play. Why bother at all if you drop him now.

West Coast have had like 4 or 5 injuries in one match.

That is an absolute shocker!

It may be showing my age a little bit.....but I remember the days when when we would absolutely DREAD playing West Coast in Perth.

Funnily enough, it may actually be the other way around this week.

How times have changed!!!

This game win these circumstances would have been better in Rd 18-20 where the rest would have been really welcomed for some.

If BBB is sore and needs a week, bring back TMac as he was decent today with 11 marks and 2 snags.

If we persist with Petty up forward, Tommo is also a decent call up. Eagles are still tall up forward with Allen, Darling and Waterman.

For Kozzy - hard call. One of ANB, Sparrow or JJ.

In: Tmac, Tommo, Kozzy

Out: BBB, Hibberd, Sparrow

Petty returns to defence, Hibberd for Kozzie. Petty played a handy defensive forward game, necessary given the potency of the McCartin's, not to mention taking the 3rd tall role that Max often plays. Up the other end we got away with only one real KPD, but can't see it being a long-term positional change for Petty.

Also wonder whether or not the Petty move wasn't to help get him back into a bit after two pretty torrid weeks as the main man down back with May's absence.

But glad it's not me having to make the selections. Apart from Kozzie coming back, Tomlinson and Tom Mac both played well in the two's. And then there's Blake Howes ... 33 possessions and 16 marks today. Knock knock knock.

Brown Out, Pickett in.

Would like to see Viney out for Howes, but not sure Jack would get dropped being captain. I feel he is probably our biggest watch over the next few weeks. Disposal poor, decision making poor. JJ is a much better 3rd midfield option and Koz back will squeeze Jack out.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
