sparrow needs to be a lot more of a workhorse thru midfield to feature in our top 10 i'd wager

nibbler i think is a chance, but i can't see sparrow getting a spot in our top 10 ahead of may, petracca, viney, lever, brayshaw, gawn, oliver, hunter, rivers, or pickett

pickett will be so far outside our top 10 itll be alarming imo he had a pretty sub par season. and i wouldn't have hunter or oliver near it either for form and games missed reasons respectively

Big call.

Very ordinary at his current level Mr. Leg.

How far off is the Roo? IMO has not improved this year

Cannot   mark in a contested group and has a habit of getting where the ball ain't. As a ruckman He is a good forward

No idea why the above is there!

You sure you're not confusing him with young Yze? Kalani was named in the U16 All Australian team. No gaurentees to make it obviously but a pretty impressive starting point.

Perhaps you are right. Need to check!

Even by your gloomy, miserable standards, that's an astonishing take @old dee

Kalani was recently named All-Australian at under 16 level.  He's not "very ordinary".

I'd say never.

Strange call. He was All Australian this year for his age group under 16s playing key defender and ruck. He’s a giant too. Looks a serious prospect with a few years in the gym to fill out. Already taller than his old man at age 15!

Are you getting him confused with another potential father son like Yze or Brown?

Maybe old dee is colour blind and getting his Whites and Browns mixed up.

Could be worse-some sides have Blacks, Greens and Grey's playing for them.:)

It must be a laugh going onto football forums on the Internet and making up gossip about possible trades. 🤣

Just to see how people will react.

Nevertheless, I will admit, even I gotta bit excited about the Aaron Cadman rumour! 😳

I would not mind 5, 10 and 13.

10 currently with the bulldogs. Would give us a chance to get Murphy a 200cm CHB if we miss out on O'Sullivan or prefer another player at 5. Pundits have Murphy around that area.

Absurd since we already have picks 5 & 13. Might as well just say we might acquire 10 also.

i was about to comment the same thing..... Massive play haha Ralph what a [censored]

We need someone who can read the chaos ball we send forward.

Naughton fits this perfectly.

Petty looks like he knows how to be a forward

+1

Our current default style of bombing it to a pack would be perfect for AN, as he'd likely come down with it half the time.

Then the rest of the time when we get it in fast and with more purpose, step up Petty/JVR/Fritsch.

The proposal would be something like 25 + 33 + Grundy pick to GC for 10. Gives them more points.

Is Petty's foot ever going to heal?

Not a conspiracy theory, but doesn't his injury type need a very long rehab?

Some do, some don’t ever.  I am sure he is being closely monitored.  🤞🙏

White needs to become a CHF for us.

No pressure on the guy who isn’t eligible for drafting, and if and when he does you are asking him to play the hardest position on the ground. Yes, it would be nice.  Thanks.

That’s where he play’s apparently

Jon Ralph said if the Suns get Doggies pick 10 it will be between the Crows and Dees.

Crows have picks 21 and 24 and he says we will have picks 25 and 33. He does not mention we also will have picks Grundy and Jordan.

We could use our future 1st round and a pick or two in this draft.

The Suns will also get picks for players they trade out such as Chol and Holland so will be very interested in collecting some future picks.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
