Pruess out of contract at GWS. He was unfortunately always injured (or suspended) and they never got to see the best of him. At 28 he's a well established ruck that could fill in for Max for 5 - 10 games a year while we wait for our young rucks to develop.

Would love to have Preuss back, this was one of my favourite plays from when he played for us - what a character 😂

He was excellent on Saturday. I have him in my SC team so watch closely. Only thing which I think we would hopefully take out of his game is he tends to coast a lot when chasing opponents.

Surely he wouldn't fit in with a no d1** head policy?

Thanks @Ferghus31. Whilst we currently don't have a 3rd round pick it is fathomable that we could get one in the end of season trade period. Joel Amartey would be a good fit for our list.

Wonder how Lachie Hunter and Jack Macrae get/got on.....

I think Jack Macrae is one of the best wingmen in the AFL...the dogs choose not to play him there.

They would get on fine when he takes his wing position.

Macrae a winger? You must be an All Australian selector

Jon Ralph just confirmed with Garry Lyon that Garry met with Harley Reid’s parents on Saturday, and essentially implied he was meeting on behalf of the Dees.

Garry then said Sundays events put an end to any plans with West Coast. I think we thought it was on.

That seems like a rule for the sake of having a rule. Would like to see official confirmation of that.

Sounds like a Kevin Bartlett rule.

It's where he started his career and he was a very good one.

And a new ute for the farm!!!!!!!!!

Why do you think Ford decided to import the F-150?

Soon you'll see a parade of those down at Kardinia Park.

Still a possibility that North beat Suns in Tassie.

There is more chance of the sky turning red than North winning this weekend.

Would certainly fit our midfield, but is 29 now...

Suppose it depends on the cost.

I’m guessing it’d be Grundy for Ladhams & change.

ladhams would be a pretty good number 2, would be serviceball if required but happy to be number 2

But anyhoo, Dylan Stephens from Sydney is looking to come to Victoria, perhaps he would be in the deal?

dyl stpehens is a HB and we seem super settled there with young players

Now that is stuff of fantasy, would love to get Holmes but he isn't going anywhere.

It is early you never know, but i don't think so at this stage.

I think a more realistic target could be Tarryn Thomas, bit of a rascal but can play. Forward and mid adds something we dont' have a lot of.

And apparetnly on the outer at North.

TT under the radar but very good.

I was at the Tigers/North game on Saturday. Taryn Thomas is a deadset gun. Has the ability to be a top liner. Would be a great get if he gets everything right. But I get the feeling north will be doing their best to keep him.

I think if we get a 2nd and the whole of the Grundy $ off the books we take it and be happy with it. Probably fanciful to think we’ll get a decent young player out of it.

Said it in another thread a week or so ago but I think in a couple of years he could be the best player in the comp. Better we have him than another club! Dusty was a similar story seven years ago.

No thanks...

This is the clown that flattened Taj  when he was trying to get back in the Swans team for finals.

Not the sharpest...there are better options.

Dry season for trade rumours. Only perhaps Ben Mckay to bombers. Can’t think of anything else with any degree of substance.

Couldn't help the subconscious link eh... Bombers...substance etc etc 🙌

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
