Is that the same player that stuffed the club around in 2022 with his indecision, his mid season interview with Freo behind the clubs back as confirmed by Alan Richardson via SEN, the media circus he created and the phoning in of the 2022 finals series.

He will cop Tom Scully boos -circa 2012 MCG.

There was no indecision. He was always going. We have a football industry where culture dictates you can’t declare your intentions in-season so any player leaving must “stuff their club around”, there’s no other way.

As the wise saying goes, holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.

Luke Jackson plays for Fremantle now.  I wish him no ill and certainly wouldn't boo him.

Yeah, I get that and there might be a subtle difference here, but I have often seen Steve May get cranky with his team mates out on the feild too.  In a sense, I think they are both just demanding high standards of their team mates in their respective positions and the important skills and work ethics required for their positions.  I do sense from the interview that Jessie is a bit more mature now, given his footy/life journey and that he's now 27, not 17.

I wouldn't be chasing Jessie hard, but if we could get him for the right price at the right time, I think he could be an important mature body to bridge between BBB/T Mac and JVR, Jefferson and Co.  His body and current form is stacking up, I think he'd be more than just depth and could be an important cog in another premiership team.

Perhaps, Balls. But I just don't see Jesse fitting in well in Melb town anymore.

Steven May is multiple AA and has been arguably the best full back in the game for about 4 years. He's earned the right to be demanding of his teamates (not starting fights in French eateries though).

What player in the game wouldn't take instruction from a cranky May over cranky Hogan?

Hogan has always had patches where he showed immense talent, and he's now showing a little consistency. Good on him.

An interesting hypothetical for him to return to the Dees, but I don't see enough positives. Once bitten and all that

I agree, loved hogan but there isn't enough positives there. He oozes talent but doesn't work hard enough for it.
He doesn't have it and what it is is what Trac, Oliver and Gus have. That unwavering work ethic.

That's how you get to be elite.

Has anyone ever gone to Freo and succeeded? It seems like where careers go to die on big money.

Build the great man a statue outside of our new complex in Caufield.

I'll even come from Adelaide to unveil it to the masses.

Ummmmmm

really poor defensive effort from Hipwood there. very lazy

If Freo get within 5 goals today it will be a miracle. Came out and tried for 3 or 4 minutes before Lions took control.

Brisbane look a bit listless today. Not good.

Agree. No intensity from either team. Jackson didn’t do too bad in that quarter but he hasn’t many helping him up front.

Eight scoring shots to 4    come on Bears

Jacko pretty good in the 1st quarter

Both sides look average, fortunately Brisbane look slightly less average than the Dokkas

Freo had more handballs than any other team has had in a quarter this year. Changing up their game plan.

Was not Caufield the bears   with that horrible spot under the stand in Prices Park ?

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
