Not sure about his marking.  He copped a couple of significant hand injuries.

That said his recuperative powers are legendary 🙌

Gonzo - I can see that a lot of readers did take it that way.

Not really related to the injury, but given what we have seen with Petty and JVR forward should we be targeting a key defender in the off season?

I personally would look at getting a key tall to play alongside May & Lever and leave Petty as a key forward.

I've heard that Adam Tomlinson goes alright 😁

Perry’s injury and his return

its like having a bag of lollies now or getting  a bag every year for 10 years

in my view extremely short view.

What one bag every year?

Preschool behaviour 101

but you get lotsa lollies

not just a pretty face for one quarter then off injured again.

Here is another fun fact, high heels were designed by the Persians in the 10th centruy for their cavalry so they had better grip in the stirrups.

Back in the day that would disappear in 3 or 4 minutes. A sugar-hit in overdrive (redskins included)

Deadset not against this. But I'd prefer it only happen for 10 minutes bursts.

Have made the suggestion many times with mates. Reminiscent of Michael Voss going forwards at times - always seemed to pull a goal or 2 out hos backside in games at death when required and thrown into the goalsquare out of desperation to change the mix

Definitely not aimed at you Gonzo. We were all a bit frustrated with that kick I think yesterday even me.

Some of the talk today though almost suggesting he should feel guilty? Give us a breather.

And high ankle support. Modern boots sacrifice support for flexibility and mobility.

On the subject of Sparrow's poor delivery to Petty, causing an injury, I recall a similar debate raging about someone getting injured circa. 2017 - maybe the Hogan broken leg? Any ideas? To me, it looked like our young brigade (Bowey, McVee, Sparrow, and Rivers) had watched a bunch of videos and were overcompensating for wind that didn't exist. Brayshaw and Salem were also ****housen with the kicking/floating handballs though. I think the latter also got suspended via angry pills in a corresponding match on the apple isle?

Under no circumstances should you google that in a public setting.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but all over SEN melbourne this morning that Petty has a lisfranc injury, unsure of severity with a very vague timeline of 6 weeks - 6 months 🤮

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
