Just wanted to ask people's opinions on who will win this year's Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy for 2022?

There's an article about it found here: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1229898

Personally, I think it will be either Clayton Oliver or Christian Petracca with Steven May as a dark horse to win it. I definitely think it will be pretty close this year!

My top 5 for the Demons Best & Fairest would be:

1) Clayton Oliver

2) Christian Petracca

3) Steven May

4) Max Gawn

5) Jack Viney

Anyway, please let me know who you think will be your top 5 in the Melbourne Demons Best & Fairest for 2022 ok?

It's got to be Oliver, surely. I'm also hoping Petty polls well.

Definitely Clarrie.
Is anyone here going on Friday?

Clarry to win and equal the record for most B&F's for Melbourne alongside Stynes and La Fontaine.

Still only 25...

Yes, I am going and I think Clarrie should win but Trac played every game and the voting system doesn't help if you miss a game or two. Watch out for Langdon who polled really well in the Brownlow and Gus.

Oliver surely.

I also think of Langdon being in the top 5.

I’d like to see Fritsch in the Top 5, he probably finishes in the 6-8 mark.

Counting the sleeps. Have missed the last couple of years but attended many going back to the 90's (at Melbourne Town Hall).

From memory it's 6 rounds at a time with the highlights of each round played of the screens. Absolutely spectacular.

It was funny during the Neeld years (5 wins from 33 games) that they could get enough material for the highlight reels.

Oliver.

More daylight

Twilight and anything else in between

Sooooo  CLAYTON OLIVER EASSSSSY

Gawn and May both missed multiple games.  Oliver missed one.  I still think Clarry gets it  just from Petracca, Brayshaw and Viney and then either Gawn or May.

I’m so excited for tomorrow night. I’ve never been to one before. I just hope I don’t show all the WAGS up!!!😂

WCW, I am concerned about you being there. We might have to call the Fire Brigade to dous your flames! Maybe myself and Uncle Bitter could be called on to chaperone you to ensure some propriety! 😇👨‍🚒🌅🔥

Should be all good, PF. Apparently when they heard I was attending they ordered extra security. But thanks for the offer to chaperone. If I ever did need chaperoning I couldn’t imagine anyone I’d rather be forcibly restrained by than you and Uncle. 😁

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
