Hopefully they don't think it will all just happen - it is going to take an big lift in defensive pressure to be any chance

For starters wear the real and only  MFC jumper. The one in the above pic looks awful.

Has Carlton ditched that all white outfit from last year. Havent seen it this season. They looked like they were running around in their undies.

The short bit of footage the club released from training showed some reasonably high pressure match simulation. Part of me thinks this is the week we see a real step up…hope I am correct

I think we are all sitting here hoping we see that switch flicked this week.

If we do it will give me a lot more confidence heading into the end of the regular season and into finals.

If we don't it's hard to see us getting our best back this season.

Winning out is unlikely but hopefully we see more of what we know and love.

I just don't want to see any 4 or 5 goal leads fluffed anymore.

I reckon we're going to love the last month of footy. It's a real chance to play some really strong and desperate teams with finals and top 4 on the line.

It's going to be a perfect lead in to the finals and if we want to be a great team like the players talk about, it's time to lift the intensity and run out 4 quarters.

I expect us to win at least 3 of our last 4 and hit finals with a bang.

I love that most of the press are writing us off.

You’d imagine all clubs do high-pressure match sims, right?

I don’t imagine that they always do it on a 6 day break. To me it says that maybe we are stepping into a game honing phase and are no longer in a loading phase.

I could be totally wrong though and don’t claim to be an expert on the matter

I'd have been more confident with another couple of easy kills like Gold Coast and Adelaide to warm us up.

Pretty much sums up most of your posts.

Waiting for another insightful come back.

I haven’t heard one good answer on the contested marking drop off. I’d love to hear an explanation for this.

Could it be that all of May, Lever, Gawn and Jackson have been injured/ill at some point in that period? So we're either missing or below their best?

I believe this is the thread appropos thread for that type of thing.

Perhaps it could end up as a containment thread ala the NO T$ NO BS thread.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
