Exactly what they said about Einstein, Jagger and Zuckerburg. So the kid is obviously no chance.

What were their kicking skills like?

James Harmes toured the Hangar, would be a real shame to see him leave too. Weird feeling having a few players leaving/touring other facilities.

So GWS lose another quality player and possibly Hopper as well. Between that and what’s going on at North I’m not sure how anyone can think 19 teams is sustainable in this competition.

What's this palava about Harmes touring other facilities.

Sigh... rookie listed, Demons supporter, lived out his dream for the club of his boyhood dreams... don't tell me it's over! 😔

GWS lose Taranto, Hopper and Bruhn and their midfield is now down to Green, Coniglio, Kelly, Whitfield, Ash, Perryman, Callaghan, Ward plus Stone and Angwin as developing players and draft picks.

They'll be fine, they can now stock up on forwards and backs which need work.

19's a stretch for sure. I'd love to see 16, but the bigger issue is spreading the talent around.

He probably took a wrong turn on the way to URBNSURF and stopped there to get directions.

Interesting tid bits.

- Kozzie talk is crazy.

- Others keener on Corbett than us

- We'd help facilitate a trade for Tomlinson

- Won't be drawn on specifics of Grundy or Jackson trades

When he said about the coaches being creative with what’s on our list for our forward line I interpreted that as 2 words.

Harrison.
Petty.

Jagger used to get his kicks on Route 66, but his strength was his marking.  He had Sticky Fingers.

This came up on my FB page. We are dealing with the club that has the lowest to offer us for LJ. Where as WC have so much more in draft capital.

freo have so much to come in they'll be able to do a bundle job elsewhere and get the picks necessary, nothing to etress about yet theres no way the deal doesnt get done eventually

How bloody impressive is Tim Lamb? Seems like someone who doesn't suffer fools, but is fair and reasonable too.

Very impressive. Well spoken, over all the facts and respectful to all.

pete ryan tweeting riley bonner could be available, yes hes worse than bowes and a bit of a squad player but given hunt's exit (and i spent 20 minutes comparing them on the afl website statistically bonner is 2x the player hunt is) could be a handy player off hb as a kicker even tho he has no inside game, 3yr deal pretty average 300k coin low risk high reward? thoughts?

You may be right but Petty has formed part of such a good defensive unit we mat be robbing peter to pay paul.

Any chance Turner might get a run in the forwards during pre-season?

Source?

We are creating a lot of cap space if we are also talking about moving Tommo on. Just can’t see how we plan to use it this year. Unless we are in the process of bringing in a big name KPF or perhaps Bowes ?

I didn't. I read it as we'll change up our mix a bit. Given what we know RE Grundy, it's likely we'll be anchoring the forwardline around Max and from there, we can get more creative.

Clearly happy for Hunt to move on and disappointed in Bedford requesting a trade.

Weideman won't be traded which makes sense as we need a back up ruck/forward option.

Loved the comment about "there's first round picks and there's first round picks." Rammed home the message Jackson is a generational talent which gives me confidence that we will come away from this trade with at least 1 x top 10 pick. How that happens remains to be seen.

Don’t want to Paint it Black but he is clearly running Out of Time. So to Start Me Up, he may need Mother’s Little Helpers. Which given the league’s stance on recreational and performance drugs would leave him Shattered. But in the end  It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll (But l Like it) !

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
