Are you Cranky Franky because your prospective employers keep googling your name and rejecting your applcation because of your past record?

Nah I'm cranky because the self righteous lynch mob keeps pontificating on Demonland.

The type of company JDG's keeps, clueless about the inappropriateness of someone unconsentingly exposing her (or anyone else) breasts in public. News at 6

Yeh, how dare people be offended by misogyny and representations of objectification of women.

I mean, are you serious? This guy has had a past history of charges against him for sexual abuse, harassment, etc, are you trying to say you have no problem with that?

He got off lightly with his past history, no arguments there...

Would I want him at Melbourne, no-way... massive risk

But, specifically on this incident tho, my understanding is 2 people were consentually flirting and someone else filmed it and published it, right?

If Collingwood really have pulled their contract offer then I'd expect St Kilda and Essendon to be all over him like flies on a chocolate otter.

i don't think it's confirmed that the arm pawing at the woman's clothing was de goey either

and while one contract offer has been withdrawn, you can bet another has been presented

he's a restricted free agent and already has two five year offers from other clubs

one is supposedly the aints; no clue re the other but i'd presume peptides

Don't worry, you'll also have an army of outraged men climb out of the woodwork when a girl you're hitting on at a bar pulls your pants down and exposes your willy on camera

Why are people saying he's done nothing illegal. Its not illegal to pull a women's bikini top down?  Genuine question. Surely if she wanted to press charges, he'd  be in some serious hot water.

I mean it's not world ending stuff, but I've been drunk 1000 times and never thought to do that.  Maybe the rest of us were brought up differently. Was he raised by wild animals maybe?  It's neanderthal stuff.

Conspiracy #1

Collingwood give DeGoey approval to Bali knowing that he'd play up which which gives them the perfect opportunity to not blow their cap and save some cash.

De Goey probably wouldn't want anything to do with me, and he wouldn't be my first choice to hang out with either. But that said never has trial by media been fair. I have been to plenty of parties where consensual sexual innuendo has been on display. If someone had complained about an assault, at whatever level I would be leading the charge for a criminal complaint. But that is not the case. Women have agency, they have the right to choose what they do for fun and they don't need to ask for permission. Consent goes both ways, when it's on it's on and when it's not STOP. Pretty simple lesson, but I feel the way the media carries on in this case, they are in a very subtle way taking away agency from women. De Goey is not pretending to be an author on etiquette and the behavior on display is largely acceptable to the vast majority of the community in private or there would be a different set of laws. Only sin here is the phone camera.

The other matter is De Goey's 'priors' we need to be really accurate about those, and there is a very good reason why priors are rarely presented in court as they confuse the facts at hand, but we love a villein. If De Goey has ever escaped consequence for committing a sexual assault, then I am appalled, but I have seen in little in the way of evidence, and please don't conflate being a bogan with being a predator (predator's come from everywhere). The level of hypocrisy on display from the media in regards to De Goey however is nauseating. Not wanting to set off any warnings from mods, but have direct evidence of conduct that Gina Gerson would blush at by AFL players over the years. And some of the FOX team were on that infamous Miami trip, do we really think it was limited to a couple of nude selfies? seriously.

In the end I believe in respect for women and respect for men and first and foremost informed consent (and no phones).

Sorry for this but I can’t help myself!

He definitely should join the Demons, as Melky could be his minder and would knock De Goooey into shape!!

Also he is De …………….Gooey!

Agree. What a total beat up by the press. This poor chap was out having fun with consenting women. Leave him alone.

I’ll try to believe you are not serious. He is paid by a club whose members put their hard earned dollar in to support said club !

1 …don’t care whether it’s consenting adults or not …it is a shocking look from an AFL player

in the middle of a season off his face & exhibiting offensive behaviour

2…you can pontificate all you like about whether AFL players are role players …but whatever arguments are thrown up …they are .

Drunk offensive young men who are excused because they “are having fun” become men who think being a [censored] with women is acceptable.

If he was live streaming it I'd have an issue. Looks like a group of consensual, drunk, horny adults sharing a moment.

Why you want to share that with the world, I don't know

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front. They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.
