Seems the Dogs can’t win when they don’t win the free kick count 😆

Love seeing the Dogs lose!

Both the De Koning boys have got great hands. Them and the King brothers are the next wave of talls who control the air.

If I had to pay Kayo an extra $100 a month for a feature that turned off commentary & just gave the crowd noise, I'm paying it. In fact, in this day & age why doesn't this feature exist? Or does it?

Why don't they put time back on the clock when they call back a bounce? Another fundamental flaw of the game.

Well that game has me not worried about either of these sides.

Not sure what Bailey Smith was thinking with that headbutt. There was at least 5 other Geelong players he should have gone for first.

🤔 hmmm Roaming Brian…. or Warnie tribute at Lords???  Tough choice.

Because that just makes too much sense

Yeah, I just watched a replay and I think you're right. Just a forearm into the back and pushed May off balance and into a high speed collision.

Cats seem to be experts at it

…. and getting away with it.

Not even a question.  Roaming's butt in someone's face as he bends over to imterview his fav player

Dogs backline is poor as is their forward line. Midfield is good. Geelong don't have a midfield and one player on their backline and forward line. Stewart and Cameron. Neither of these sides are a threat.

Bailey Smith. Fake tough guy and then goes missing in the last Q

100% unsighted this qtr :)

Probably ended up costing them the game with that brain fade.

...and on a similar note, the dogs have a couple of players with short arms. Did not commit to contact in marking contests in the 3rd Q.

...and another other note, Weightman. I don't know, the dives, the acting in general play, nearly ending the year of that kid at Geelong by taking his legs out. He needs a good kick up the backside by his coach for a start. At least the umpires have woken up to him. At the moment he's a liability in big games. Koz was the right pick that's for sure.

...and another, other, other note. What was Treloar thinking? If Smith didn't cost them the game, Treloar certainly did.

I'd love to see Ben Brown step up and do a Jeremey Cameron performance and kick a bag of goals.

Let’s call a spade a spade- BBB is having a poor season.

Nowhere near the Coleman contenders for someone that’s a professional goal kicker.

Yeah a bag would be nice

Is it fair to say the Dogs are officially out of the premiership race?

Need to go 9-1 to sneak into the top 4.

I'd say so. Might go on a run and finish 6th or 7th, possibly win a final then go out. That's how it's tracking.

Absolute full credit to Geelong tonight.

Lost their best defender and arguably best player in Stewart which could’ve had the potential to destabilise their structure and had 5 of their best 22 out.

Not to mention they had their big lead pegged back but had the character to hold on and never give up.

Dogs in real trouble to make finals - may need 13 wins this year given how terrible West Coast, North and Essendon are. That means 7-3 from now on with a tough draw

Are they still mentally crushed by what the Mighty Dees did to them in the GF 2021?  They look very fragile.

Was going to say the same, NQR since. Would love Naughton in our team though, he is what i thought Weid was going to be.

With their draw to come even making the 8 isn't a given

Exactly KW.

13 needed this year and its the old question.  Who goes out for the Dogs .?  For mine there are at least 8 teams above them.  Bailey Smith did another 1 way running perforamnce a la GF final 1/4,  and Naughton seems overated and young de Koning was excellent.

Had money on the Cats to win (punt with head) but was still cheering the dogs

I really do hate the Cats

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
