Didn't see any of the game so can't vote, but this was Luke Ball's assessment on ABC Radio.

Honourable mentions;

Alex Neal-Bullen

Trent Rivers

Tom McDonald

Kysaiah Pickett

Adjudication;

Couldn’t complain those who made the play got rewarded.

TV broadcast;

Jason Dunstall and Nick Riewoldt tend to make sense. Whoever was responsible for gratuitous comment about Ed Langdon tackle being ‘acceptable’ go to straight to dunce’s corner with the appropriate hat.

Overall comment;

Opponents provided a contest with plenty of old fashioned physicality. Demons challenged but too classy in the wash up.

Oliver is the best player in my lifetime watching Melbourne. Sorry Robbie.

Sorry had to reply.  Robbie was just an amazing player. His courage, his skill, his pace, his marking, his goalkicking, his weaving. All were elite.

Clarry is a legend. A bull.  Wins more contested footy than anyone I can think of. He accumulates.  He wills himself to each contest. But his skills and goalkicking is not elite.  In my view Clarry is and will be one of our greatest BUT he doesn’t pass Robbie for pure footy and an all around elite game.

6 - Clarry - (magnificent dragged us over the line)

5 - Lever (playing himself back in)

4 - May - (flew the flag)

3 - Tracc (made things happen)

2 - Sparrow ( tried his guts out)

1 - TMac (plays better when angry)

1000 votes and the Brownlow medal to Clarry, the contested Beast!

No Doubt he is our superstar

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

    Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • PREGAME: Gold Coast

    The Demons are back at the MCG for the second week in a row. They face the Suns off a 15 day break without their prized recruit and former Demon champion Christian Petracca. This will be a massive test for the Demons who will be facing a genuine Premiership contender. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: Carlton

    The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
